Makes a great old fashioned 🥃
Great price on my favorite old fashioned mix! So easy to make a delicious cocktail. Recommend using a rye bourbon for mixing.

The product was okay, not great, but not bad either. I will take the time tomox my own so I can control the thi gs that I like - especially the sweetness.

Tasty… but the bottle exploded
On a positive note, my husband is a big fan of this cocktail mix and says it makes a great old fashioned. On the negative side, after using about half of the mix we left the bottle on the bar cart of our air conditioned living room and it exploded. I do not use the word exploded lightly - I found glass over ten feet from where the bottle had been sitting and small shards of glass were embedded in the wall behind the bar cart. My guess is that there was some kind of chemical reaction as the remaining mixture appeared to be bubbling slightly. Cocktail Crate seemed to confirm that theory as their rep replied to my concerned email, “All natural products made from sugar and water will ferment if not refrigerated.” To be fair, the bottle clearly states to refrigerate, and I didn’t do so. But in general, I understand such labeling to mean, “refrigerate or it will spoil sooner / go bad / not taste right.” Not, “refrigerate, or this glass bottle will explode.” I was also disappointed in Cocktail Crate’s response to my concern (offering a replacement bottle), particularly as I do think this could be actually dangerous.

Great product
As a 18 yr bartender, this is a must for behind your bar. I personally add bitters to my recipe on top of this mix. It is very sweet but so good. CHEERS!
