Reliable and Easy to Use
The Amazon Basics USB 3.0 to Gigabit Ethernet Adapter works perfectly! I needed a quick fix for my laptop that doesn’t have an Ethernet port, and this little adapter did exactly what I needed. Setup was completely plug-and-play — I just connected it, and it was ready to go within seconds. The connection is super stable, and I’m getting fast speeds with no drops or lag when streaming or downloading large files. It’s lightweight, compact, and easy to take on the go, which is great for travel or working in different locations. The build feels solid for the price, and it hasn’t overheated or disconnected once. Overall, this adapter is an affordable and dependable solution for anyone needing a strong wired internet connection — highly recommend!

Great Price -- Great Job
This works great with my laptop, which has no ethernet port. There are times I need an ethernet connection, especially to do diagnostics. Thus little gem is a great investment.

Exactly What I Needed for a Reliable Wire
I needed a simple and effective way to connect my laptop directly to an Ethernet cable for work, and this Amazon Basics USB 3.0 to Gigabit Ethernet Adapter did the job perfectly. Setup was instant—just plug it into a USB port and connect the Ethernet cable. No drivers needed for Windows, and the connection is fast and stable. I’ve noticed a big improvement in speed and reliability compared to Wi-Fi, which is essential for video calls and large file uploads. Compact, affordable, and works exactly as described. Highly recommend if your computer doesn’t have a built-in Ethernet port!

Hard to remove on the internet end, usb side works as expectedd
Very hard to remove the cord with tab pressed in as you try to remove. I bought these to replace a broken one from another company. I have to change my cords often. It is actually a fight to get the cord out. Don't want to pull on it and break it but come on the snaps should not be permanent. I guess the were overly concerned with accidental pull outs but I really can not seem to get these out without a struggle. The usb side works as expected. It does the job which is why 4 stars. Just wish they were easier to separate from the cable when needed.

works for me
5 stars because it actually works. I get 1 gig download speed for internet. My devices were getting way less for download speed. I was getting 250 MB and lower. I connected this device and boom, my download speed is now 700 MB download speed.

Works Great
Easy to use and very simplistic. Nice if you have something like a Lenovo thinkpad that doesn’t come with an Ethernet port.

Excellent substitute for built in ethernet
Excellent substitute for built in ethernet when fried by power surge. Smart switch properly detected the connection speed and the network was up and running at the full Gig.
