This salt works exactly as described. It dissolves quickly in warm water and rinses through the sinuses. It’s even prevented sinus infections quite well. It’s non irritating, helps me breathe better with fewer allergies and the price is great! My Dr was going to put me on a regular antibiotic for my sinuses. Taking antibiotics is really hard on the human body. Thanks to this and my Neti pot, she doesn’t need to now. What a relief! Trigger Warning: I have a gut disorder that makes me really nauseous every single day, so obviously I throw up often. When II do, some of it usually goes up into my sinuses, often causing terrible sinus infections. Since I’ve been using this regularly, I’ve not had one sinus infection. That’s a very rare thing for me. Get it. Use it. You won’t regret it!

I agree with the other posters who dispute the notion that this is just a big bag of overpriced salt. It's definitely more than that! I have been happily using my Neti pot for almost 10 years, and prior to purchasing this salt, I would just buy the packets of solution that you can get in the drugstore. About a year ago it happened that the drugstore was out of the packets, and I was just going to order them online. I then ran across multiple sites where people posted homemade recipes for the saline solution. I tried all of the variations of recipes, using both Himalayan salt as well as various off-the-shelf table salts, and each one left me with a painful burning sensation, no matter how I adjusted the recipe. I then decided it was time to go back to the store-bought solution, and my search to order that online led me here. I purchased this particular brand based on the great reviews. I will say that it's very important to get the measurements correct, and use a LEVEL 1/4 teaspoon, rather than a rounded or heaping measure, and be sure to get the water at the right level. Otherwise, you will definitely end up with that painful burning sensation. I suppose that is one positive about getting the little packets is that they are premeasured, and you can't go wrong. But I do love the convenience and economy of being able to guy it in bulk. Do the math: $14-ish for 400 scoops (in the bag) or $14-ish for 100 premeasured packets. Works for me!

Works great! Lasts a long time. I'd much rather buy a 1.5 pound bag of Neti Pot salt than an 8 oz. or 10 oz. jar at the store. I use 1/4 tsp per 8 oz. distilled water. Note: I've used different kinds of Neti Pot salt. One time I had a light, 'fluffy' salt. It worked fine, but I needed to use a little bit more than 1/4 tsp per 8 oz. distilled water.

This is a very good product. It arrives well sealed and with a small scoop with two different measurements. For me, the larger measurement was way too much, but the smaller one seems to work very well. Begin with the smaller amount of salt, because the larger one actually burned a bit and I could feel it in my ears - not at all comfortable for someone who is used to using the neti twice a day. I do like the very fine grind which dissolves quickly and the purity of this product.

I have moved to a place where the allergens are quite bad in spring. I need to be able to use my neti pot much more frequently than before. To avoid anti-caking & other chemicals in table salt, I have been using canning salt for some time as it also dissolves so easily. However, with more frequent use, it was too irritating. I don't like using the little packets that come with neti pot purchases cuz it seems so wasteful + a bit of a hassle to have to open and mix one for every use. This bag of medical grade salt has made my life better. I open a gallon container of distilled water, add this salt (I also add equal part baking soda), and store the gallon of solution in the fridge. The salt never settles, it stays well mixed. I microwave a cup at a time to use as needed. One gallon = 16 cups, 15 fewer mixing times.

I've been using the individual packets for years, not even thinking I could buy nasal salt in a bulk bag. I have been using this for a week now and have not experienced any burning sensation as some have mentioned. In fact, I used to get a wierd smell in my nose for about a minute after rinsing with the packets, but this salt doesn't do that to me. Not only is the great quality salt, but it's an amazing value compared to the individual packets AND much more environmentally friendly in terms of packaging waste. Win, win, win. One note, there are no usage instructions on the bag. There is a two-sided scooper in the bag. One scoop is small and one large (isotonic vs hypertonic quantity). Either is meant to be used with 8oz. distilled water.

The quality is good and doesn't change much (except for some solidifying) after a long time.
