Good addition to the Eufy EcoSystem
**152 days later** Using the optimal surveillance mode, it lasted 152 days until it required charging. It captured 3668 events in total. Overall, I'm pleased with the system and the way it works. Would recommend fully. **Original review** This was an upgrade from the 1080p doorbell camera and chime. After being impressed with the 1080p, I purchased the Eufy alarm kit when it was on offer. However, to use the automation feature in the app with the other items (PIR sensors, additional cameras etc) the doorbell needed to be unpaired with the chime and added to the Homebase 2 that came with the alarm system, this in turn would render the chime redundant. So it made sense to return it and purchased this 2k add on. Overall it's a great bit of kit for those wanting a reliable doorbell without having to pay extra to save the 2am video of the fox in the front garden or the time you tripped up the front step. Everything is saved locally on the Homebase 2 and you can access this all through the app. Setup was straight forward and installation was easy. With this the option is there to hardwire it in with existing doorbell wiring and the leads and connectors you may need are supplied in the box. Straight out the box I charged it to 100% which took just over an hour from 74%, from there it was a quick change of the back plates (the 2k is annoyingly ever so slightly bigger and required a new hole drilling in the door frame, not ideal if you're a renter like me...). Be prepared to tweak the settings. A lot. The first few days the motion detection notifications can get annoying and I live in a quiet cul-de-sac... you'll need to find balance as even though the AI is good, it doesn't mean it's flawless. With the 1080p I was able to set 3 square activity zones whereas with the 2k, you get 1 hexagonal zone to form a shape. The attached image shows the weird shape I had to form (and it's night vision thrown in for good measure) but it works me. The attached video shows next doors cat which rubs against that corner a lot and it set off the motion detection, but now with the activity zone it filters out that corner. Battery life so far has been good, the attached screenshot shows it's state and that is from the 1st charge cycle. I've had it set to optimal surveillance from with all motion detection selected. All in all, a good piece of kit. An extra point goes to it's release key. With the 1080p you get a standard SIM pin tool, nothing fancy and likely to be lost, but with the 2k, you get a chunky magnet one, ideal for me as the metal consumer board is right above my door.

Easily integrated into my HomeBase 2 system - recommended!
Easily installed after charging its battery, quickly paired with my HomeBase2 and replaces a non-video doorbell. The image captured is as expected from a wide-angle lens, colour is good and definition fine in daylight and at night. It has been installed for over 3 weeks now without issues and doesn’t overload the memory capacity of the HomeBase2 unit. I’ll recommend this to anyone who has a Eufy HomeBase2 system and doesn’t want to pay a recurring system charge (such as with Ring).

Outstanding quality at an affordable price
Well I've got to admit I never really wanted one but after recent episodes in my life I've had no choice but to buy one along with the twin eufycam 2c kit for the rest of my property, and I've got to say I'm absolutely over the moon with these they have already paid for themselves. I was lucky to get these on her special so keep your eyes open and trust me buy some when you do you will not be be disappointed, they are an absolute doddle to put up and setup, and the fact I get constant updates to my phone wherever I am is an absolute bonus I would not be without these now. One more thing I would like to add is this review yes is for the doorbell alarm and camera but I'm also doing it for the house security system, the doorbell camera which this review is for what it doesn't tell you is you can also use it wired to your existing doorbell button which means it will be constantly powered. So basically you have a choice to either have it wireless or wired but it doesn't tell you that only when you receive it will take that in the instructions. Crystal clear image and the sound is incredible

There good but battery dies after two weeks.
There good but battery dies after two weeks. There new though, so maybe I've not un ticked a box that reduces power. Still worth it though.

Excellent Video Qualty, and no Subscription
I recently decided to switch from my Ring Doorbell to an Eufy doorbell. The reason? Their subscription prices went up again, and without a subscription, the Ring Doorbell is just a camera. The Eufy cost a bit more than a year’s Ring subscription, and since I already have an Eufy Home Hub, it was an easy choice. My phone and Alexa Dot get notifications almost instantly, and guess what? The Eufy Home Hub chimes in with the bell push, so you can hear it both inside and outside the house. Setting it up was a breeze. The video clips are saved to the Eufy hub, so you can watch them on your phone, tablet, or PC. The phone notifications show a clip of the person at the door, and it’s easy to chat with them. Oh, and here’s the best part: the notifications with video clips also show up on my Apple Watch if you already have an Eufy Home Hub 2. If you’re thinking about getting a Ring doorbell, why not just get an Eufy 220 doorbell? It doesn’t require a subscription, and it’s way better.

Frustrating ... Needs a Notice
I have had this for over 8 months and have reached the end of my patience with it ... and REMOVED it from my door! I have missed countless deliveries because of the delay. Occasionally it would ring straight away, but only occasionally. Mostly, however, it rings about 5 minutes after the visitor has pressed the button! Maybe if I put a notice above it suggesting that the visitor waits a few minutes it might work ... but I doubt many busy couriers would hang around for 5 minutes until the device alerted me! Anyhow, this is such a frustrating doorbell that I have completely removed it. NOT recommended in the slightest, even though the picture quality is fine!

The doorbell camera failed following heavy rain, becoming completely unusable due to severe condensation that blurred the lens. After returning the faulty device, the customer service was appalling14 days later, I have received no refund, no replacement, and am still without a working doorbell camera, on top of that the app consistently crashing/freezing!!! The customer experience was unacceptable. Avoid this product and company at all costs!!!!!

Camera is a great add on to my eufy system. I wired into my existing doorbell wires as I wanted constant charging and to use my original chime. Installed quickly, I had plenty of wire from the original doorbell so didn't use the Included extensions as is said not required. Camera paired to my homebase 2 quickly and added to the app no problem. When I turned the power back on, there was a constant buzzing from the original chime which also didn't ring with the new doorbell cam, and Camera wasn't charging. I confirmed my transformer was within the required range. I popped the Camera off and noticed the metal contact under the wire screws was very small so I'd try the wire extensions as they have a spade type attachment on the end. Hooked them up and both issues gone. Camera now constantly powered, chime isn't buzzing and also works when doorbell is pressed. My only wish is if they had a larger wedge than 15°, there are 30-45° 3rd party wedges which I may get. I've had eufy products for 5 months now and I am very impressed with them, the no monthly/annual fees makes it event better!
