Adequate for a few media files; be sure you don't get one too large for your device (32GB)
There are many reviews complaining these don't work in embedded devices, but they're using 64+ GB disks. I specifically chose these 32GBs as the upper-limit to the CD player in the car. Write speed is low as others will mention. Some day 1MB/s, I see more than that but I see a bunch of big writes and big pauses. This is NOT the worst flash drive I've ever owned for write speed. It will be slower than uploading something, yes. Speed will go up and down inconsistently. Be sure to only let 1 thing write at a time, pause other copies or wait or use a file copy manager. See pic for what not to do, see up and down graphs. Putting this in a Kenwood CD player, on Shuffle All (shuffle folder & track), skips "instantly" to the next track, like quicker than a CD changing track. This is sufficient read speed for a few MP3s. I can't speak to the fake capacity issues others are having, I've written 29GB to this without noticing an overwrite loop yet. I can't speak to longevity, but I appreciate the other reviewers mentioning short-term failure. I'll be sure to use these for recreational things only, not as backups.

Big Capability in a Compact Package
These mini thumb drives are amazing! Since cars no longer have CD players (ok, I'm old), I still wanted to hear some of my favorite tunes on the road. Since my newer car DID have a USB port as part of the entertainment system, I wanted to have a memory stick that would hold lots of music, leave it plugged in, and yet not stick out too far where it could be accidentally hit. These 64 GB mini flash drives are exactly what I needed. It is really hard to believe something so small has so much storage capability -- but they do! I really like their size and performance. I'm sure I'll find other uses, too!

Decent quality for item as is
Decent quality for item as is. I had a different 'thumb' drive of similar size and the blue(plastic) part had fallen off, almost lost the drive 'chip' itself. These are nice in that they come with a cord that wraps in the blue outer shell. They do seem to be or have a very tight fit though. Regardless, they work quite well and I would purchase again if only for the cord itself.

Perfect size for our truck transmitter
We use this USB flash drive with our transmitter in my husband’s truck. There is very little space where the USB fits, so a regular-sized flash drive would stick out too much. This one is very small and fits just right. It works well for playing music and is a great option if you need something compact for tight spaces.

Great for uninterrupted music in the car
I bought these to load up with music for my car (I can't stand listening to commercials every other song). I have 625 songs on one and it's not even 1/4 of the way full. Works great! And it holds up through all weather, I never need to remove it from the car.

Both units failed after only a few weeks of use.
I purchased a two-pack of these units, and quickly reformatted as necessary and set it up for my car audio. It was operational for about a month, then the head unit started freaking out. I pulled it, and tried to put it back into the computer to see what's going on, and it wouldn't acknowledge the usb drive. I ended up using the second one (which took forever to load, definitely NOT USB 3.0 speeds) and had to throw the first one away. I couldn't even get the computer to acknowledge it, even in disk manager. These are inexpensive, but it appears you do get what you pay for. I'm not sorry for the purchase, but definitely don't use them for anything valuable, and regular read/writes definitely shorten their lifespan. I had a pair of blue 32Gb units. YMMV on the other selections. Update 7/22/2024: The other unit also died in about the same timeframe in the same way. Both were junk. Would definitely NOT recommend. Two for two, dead in 3-6 months of LIGHT operation. They were sitting in the car (not in the sun, vehicle usually garaged or covered) for use as a music source. Just bought another Verbatim, which I've had in my other car for > 3 years without issue.

Home protection
They work great with the blink camera system for back up on the multiple cameras . They are compatible and easily removed. They're very lightweight and the color works well with everything else being white making them very easy to use. Thank you very much . . . Vern

Kinda' Flaky
They do work under some circumstances. But it Doesn't work in my "WENTER" USB extender that has its own power supply. It Also Boots me out of music in my Truck and had to unplug and reinsert too.
