Occidental Leather 3" Ranger Leather Work Belt - Large, OxyRed - Bridle Leather, Heavy-Duty Steel Roller Buckle, Edge Stitched - Made in USA

I have been a carpenter for over 30 years and had several different tool rigs in my carrier, but none compare to Occidental leather. the quality and workmanship are outstanding. I had a Oxy rig for over 20 years that I just wore out. I purchased my second rig about 2 years ago and tried their stronghold belt. It looked very comfortable and had the wool felt liner like my previous belt that they no longer make. After a while the belt that the bags attach to began to stretch and sag and I began to notice some sciatic pain that I never had before when I wore that belt. I also purchased another less expensive belt from a competitor for roofing. I noticed that the pain wasn't as bad but their one size fits all just didn't fit me right so I bought this Ranger belt in a large. This has been a game changer for me as most of my pain has gone and the belt doesn't sag like the stronghold did and fits more like my old belt from them. I also use their suspender system. I really love their products and would recommend them to anyone. Also I am 5'9" and 168 lbs. If this helps.

This is a fantastic belt. There are no frills, or gimmicks. It’s just high quality, thick and durable. I also found it comfortable after relatively few wears. I am a carpenter by trade, and I wore my last belt out over the course of almost daily wear for a span of 3 years or so. This belt is a little thicker than my last one, and after about two months of use, I fully expect it to make it through 4-5 years relatively heavy abuse.

After 7 years and some weight gain I had to replace my medium belt. I went with the xl knowing it would be too big for me but because the medium would let my bags rest on the shorter width part of the belt I was skeptical and didn’t want that happening again. It fits much more comfortably now my bags fully rest on the 3” part of the belt I feel as intended. Here’s some images to show you guys the 3” length as I could not find it here but it’s worth noting that you basically want the tight fit or last 3 holes to be the ones you adjust

Fit was actually pretty spot on. Many of the comments had me thinking it ran small so I ordered a large. I wear 34 pants, sometimes 32's and wear my toolbelt on my hips above where my pants sit. My old one was so beat up that I couldn't read what size it was but it must have not have been a large because this was a full 3-4" longer. Luckily amazon allowed me to exchange for a medium at no charge. I may start buying things like this in brick and mortar stores going forward since the pricing is comparable and you can actually try it on and see how bags and belts fit together. Also my on my old one the belt is two pieces with the tongue of the belt being part of the actual belt. If they still made them this way I could have easily just cut it down and punched out a few extra holes. Even occidental doesn't make them like they used to. The new design looks less comfortable and less durable.

As good as you can expect from the brand, but take the sizing advise with a pinch of salt. I'm a 38" wast and ordered a large but with a couple of bags on I'm on the second last hole.
