These are perfect for doing a rewire. Covered up all the bare ends, allows for terminal connections. Great for temp fixes, or for leaving in perm.

Good desig n and easy to use. But quite large and not flexible so need to cut a large hole in ceiling board to push box through. Can be difficult to retrive back through the hole. I think a more flexible version in softer, bendable plastic would offer some advantages. A smaller option may be more suitable in some circumstances.

Brilliant product, so easy to use & a great improvement over the older junction boxes with brass screws. Shame they weren't supplied with mounting clips (though these clips are now sold separately...... another price increase)!

These are really quick to fit, the cables are gripped on entry to the box and the individual wires fit into snap shut connectors. These are available in two to five connectors and can be used with solid core or stranded cables. The only catch is that if you are using them in a loft and want to attach the box to the side of a joist there is a wedged shaped slot on the side but this requires a button which screws onto the joist and then the box slides onto the button holding it firm. These must be purchased separately. Otherwise they are really useful.

These enclosures give added security for connections. However, their shape and size make them difficult to use in confined spaces. E. G. replacing a ceiling rose.
