What a great little buy. It was one of those last minute - just need one more thing - purchases but turned out to be one of the best gifts. My 7 & 9 yr olds are Pokémon mad and keep going back to this book to get all the details on each of the Pokémon. It’s been great for me too, trying to at least attempt to keep up. It’s full colour, great detail, good quality and so much information on all of the pokemon characters including all their evolutions. Great bit of kit for any Pokémon fan. If your worried about buying a book for a child (most children rolling their eyes, boring!) - BUY THIS!!! It’s great! Highly recommended.

Bought this for my (then) 6 year old Pokemon obsessed son in the hope that he would stop asking his Dad and I questions about Pokemon! The book itself is like a Pokedex, giving all the stats on each Pokemon, with full colour pictures for each character. It's been a great book for my son for encouraging him to read independently (and of his own free will too lol!), he's happy to just pick up and read it to me or his Dad. There's just a small paragraph of text describing the Pokemon - so not too daunting for a child, and just the right mix of vocabulary (enough to challenge but not discourage). All in all a great buy!

Bought for my Grandson who absolutely never has it far away from his hands and holds his attention for hours. Best present to keep his 4 year old attention.

Opened the parcel and there is some sort of brown mark on the majority of the pages. Luckily it's on the edge of the page so when reading it's not noticeable. It doesn't contain all of the Pokémon. It has the latest gen, from galar, but not from the expansions. So it is missing Kubfu which is one of my favourites. In my opinion, if it is released after the game it should contain the Pokémon from the game. Now for the positives. My 5 year old loves it. I no longer get "dad what does (insert name) evolve into/from?" As it is all shown on the book. And it is very clear to see. The Pokémon are not in number order but alphabetically which helps her find them. And it is teaching her how to read and spell. It gives the basic info such as name / height / weight / moves / etc, accompanied by a picture It also shows how to pronounce the names. Overal if I ignore the state it came in, I would have returned it if my daughter didn't see it, this is a good book. Definitely if you have younglings who want to be the very best.....upto the expansions. If it contained all of the Pokémon I would have given this 5 stars.

Bought this for my son a she loves Pokemon and he saw a Youtuber with this book. Best purchase ever, he has it in the car and reads it when out and about. Well qorth the money as it is like a bible, a good thick and heavy book. Highly recommend

My child's dream book, still uses it 3 years after he got it!

Bought this for my nephew last christmas (almost 7yrs old at the time). I've never seen him so interesting in reading before (he absolutely hates books ha). He actually put the games down and was more interested in the book. Sadly it doesnt include the latest generation of pokemon but its stil la solid product. It does contain various special forms like Alolan ones. It does talk about mega's but does not show those. Its also missing the Sword/Shield DLC pokemon and Meltan/Melmetal. But still....pretty good The pages were good quality - which was good news as i was a bit put off my some reviews i saw. He loved flicking through it and learning new pokemon / or seeing that one's he knows have evolutions. Ive been told he often uses it as a reference for his drawings too! Its pretty conprehensive. Its in Alphabetical order rather than pokedex which i sneered at first. But actually this makes sense. Especially as it lists evolutions.

Very useful and descriptive. My kid absolutely loves this book.

This is the best essential guide for all pokemon lovers and before buying remember there are two editions of Super extra deluxe where 1. 650 and 2. 875 and please check before ordering as 875 is the original one and another one with 650 is duplicate edition with shorter pokemons count with reduced price but you dont get most of the famous pokemons like diglett ,charizard, geodude etc which are therein 875 edition.So please check the edition as most of them not mentioned here in reviews i am commenting this. Now coming to book its fantastic this is the best edition so far and better than the latest 2024 book which removed possible moves and regions list which makes that book incompatible. I am generally not a pokemon go gamer may be will play in future but i am anime watcher so this book also helpful for anime lovers as well to look for the pokemons appeared in the show.The only thing i felt is they would have given index it will be helpful as we can directly go to specific one from the available list but still this is not a major issue considering pokemons in alphabetical order with little efforts we can find it easily. So go for it this is defintely an all in one book dedicated to pokemons and provide better info compare to latest edition.

Great book, my 6 year old loves this book. I purchased a used copy, not too bad. And he takes this with him.

My goddaughter is enthusiastic about it. Personally, I've only seen it via Skype but it looks like a real Pokemon encyclopaedia, depicting their whole world. A must have for all Pokemon fan :-)
