Highly entertaining!
Enjoyable, well-written fictional account of Crowley and the Golden Dawn. This is funny and interesting, it kept my interest through the whole book and I will be rereading. It is also a fairly accurate account which made it all the more amusing. Easily my favorite book this year.

Love it
Lon seems to have captured the spirit of one of the most interesting times in occult history with a very entertaining tale.I was a big fan of his Chicken cabala and when I saw his name associated with Crowley fiction I had to get this. I was not disappointed.Any one into Golden Dawn History or Crowley, will be well entertained and may even learn a few things.

Magick was never so much fun!
Lon is a brilliant story-teller in person, and I've been lucky enough to be "spell-bound" by him on a number of occasions. So I would expected to be entertained by this book and I wasn't disappointed in the least. He and his coauthor have turned in a very interesting take on the conflict between Mathers and the London temple of the Golden Dawn. As a fledgling magician, Crowley finds himself in the midst of some of the most charismatic figures of the times... WB Yeats, Maud Gonne, Florence Farr... and the authors turn it into a fun romp that's easily read within a day or two. And it gets your own imagination going as to what these people were really like. Most enjoyable!

Beautifully written
I sat down and read this in one sitting, the images jumped from the page and created a sense of moving illustrations. Although this is a work of fiction, its effect on the reader is that of being in on a secret, perhaps a window into our pagan roots. I will definitely be recommending this to my friends.

Too short, I want more!
My only complaint is that the book is too short. It is, however, so well written that I refuse to belabour the point. Instead I hereby make a formal invocation of the authors: that pen be set to paper, sweat to bead on furrowed brow, and seat of pants not to part company with chair until the rest of the story be told. So mote it be.And in case that was too subtle for you, I wish to Kindle your desire by saying that if you are interested in an imaginative telling of the Crowley myth, you need stray no more.Buy the book. Read it. Enjoy.Sex and Light: How to Google your way to Godhood

A cult movie in the making
Cool book. The ploy of the screenplay being dictated as part of the action allows a certain relief from the whirlwind action it depicts. The subject matter, the breaking apart of the Golden Dawn and The ascendency of Crowley sheds light on this somewhat shrouded period of occult history.I anxiously await the film
