An epic tale told well
My daughter loves this book. Actually, so do I. Just be weary about the parts where it tries to tell you Krishna is impersonal and stupid stuff like that. The story is gripping and a great read. Highly recommend.

This book is the epic of epics
My friends and I have read and re-read this book countless times. Kamala Subramaniam makes it accessible, gripping and poetic at the same time. Sometime in your life, you have to read the Mahabharata. It is an uphill climb at first, but it is unparalleled. While western literature is like a tree with a single trunk/central spine and branches, this book is more of a banyan tree with multiple trunks and even more branches. How they synthesize is masterpiece.

I really like this binding and format.
I like that it is not full of commentary there are other books from this publisher and I have a few of them. This one has a Glued on cover but the other two do not. The hard back underneath is plain without title or printing so having the cover glued on makes some sense. It is easy to read and has few distracting grammatical errors. This is one of the Greatest Epics ever written and this book really does it justice.I am rebuilding my library and so this really helped and led me to buy others like it from this publisher.
