As being an adopted this is a wonderful adoption book!! I had a little girl in my class bring this book in to read on her "Gotcha Day" it is extremely heart warming and basically hits questions that might be hard for kids to understand. I even gifted this book to my friend who adopted her son. I highly recommend this book!One page does make a very light religious statement but that is it.

Wonderful book with a great storyline about the love of adoption.

I ordered this book for my daughter to read to her current foster sons that she will be adopting.The boys are at curious stages asking lots of questions and this book is well written and with a story a 4 and 5 year can relate to.

This book was the sweetest addition to an adoption basket that I put together for a friend’s adoption. It is a beautiful story of adoption whether you adopt from private agency or foster care! There is not a huge market for adoption gifts so I was so thankful when I found this book! It is beautifully written and pictures are so sweet!

Very sweet story and hits on most concerns you would have. We recommend this to adoptive parents. The art is also well done for the book.

Such a cute story and so durable! Just be aware that the book does mention God. (Beacuse I was not)

This is the single greatest book we have ever seen about adoption for toddlers. As soon as we read it one time our 3 and 4 year old recently adopted kids fell in love with it. Especially if you are a mixed race family like ours, this book talks about how the adopted baby bear has different color fur than his mom, PERFECT!!!! We call our kids our "wishes come true" now and they will tell people about how they are "our wish come true". Ms. Richmond hit the nail on the head with this book. The illustrations are beautiful and soft and fit the soft and loving tone of the story. We have bought several copies of this book for other adoptive parents and for our children's psychiatrist to give to her clients. Everyone that has read it has fallen in love with it.
