Great Machine
Lightweight but sturdy. Has all the basic stitches plus it sews buttonholes, zippers, buttons, etc. Has many basic features with many accessories. I love the way the bobbin winding works and the machine is super easy to thread. It has a self thread the needle feature that is a huge bonus for these old eyes. The drop in bobbin that you do not have to pull the thread up is interesting and works well, you just start sewing. All tensions seem to be perfect right out of the box. Love, love, love it after my test drive. Excited about constructing my first project!!

Beginner-friendly, lightweight, and you don’t even need the foot pedal
After a ton of research, I chose this as a basic “anyone can use it” beginner machine… and the research wasn’t wrong. This machine is genuinely fun to use. First, it’s incredibly lightweight (about 10.5 lbs). My previous machine was so heavy it felt like moving furniture, so it basically never got used. This one is easy to pull out, set up, and put away. It’s also easy to thread, and the bobbin is simple to work with (no drama). I love the speed control and reverse button, especially as a beginner. The stitch guide/graphics and the digital screen/menu make it really easy to select a stitch and know what you’re getting. One feature I didn’t realize I’d appreciate so much: you don't need the foot pedal at all (yes, it comes with one). You can start/stop from the machine, control speed, and reverse. That means if someone can’t use their feet (or just prefers not to), they can still sew and keep both hands on the fabric. Performance-wise, I’ve already hemmed heavy jeans with no problem, even right over the thick seam. It arrived days earlier than expected, too. This is a winner. I would absolutely buy again and recommend it - easy to use, easy to store, quality machine. Quick answers Good for beginners? Yes, very easy to learn on. Is it lightweight/portable? Yes, easy to move and store. Easy to thread / bobbin easy? Yes to both. Foot pedal required? No. You can sew using the machine controls. Speed control + reverse? Yes, both are super handy. Can it handle denim? I hemmed heavy jeans and sewed over seams without issues. Is stitch selection easy? Yes, the display and stitch guide make it simple. Stitch options? Yes, so many options, basic to cute and fancy. Stitch quality? Great! I tried all the sizes and stitches, and they were all exactly like the front panel showed.

It saves me so much time and frustration, and threading the machine has never been easier. The quilt feet and accessories that come with it are also fantastic and help me get professional-quality results every time. I’ve used this machine for both basic sewing projects like hemming and making simple garments, as well as more advanced quilting. The stitch quality is amazing, and I love the smooth and quiet operation. Whether I’m working on delicate fabrics or heavier materials, it handles everything with ease. Awesome sewing machine bought for my fiance
The Brother CS7000X sewing machine has been a solid addition to my crafting setup, offering a combination of versatility, ease of use, and consistent performance. Setup & Installation: Out of the box, the machine was straightforward to set up. The instruction manual is clear and includes step-by-step guidance for threading, winding the bobbin, and attaching presser feet. It also includes tips for beginners, which made the initial setup less intimidating. Features & Functionality: This model comes with 70 built-in stitches, including utility, decorative, and heirloom options. Switching between stitches is easy with the LCD screen, and adjustments to stitch length and width are intuitive. The included automatic needle threader and adjustable speed control simplify sewing, even on more delicate fabrics. Build Quality & Durability: The machine feels sturdy and well-constructed, with minimal vibration during operation. The metal interior components give it a solid feel compared to lighter, plastic-only models. The included accessories, like the variety of presser feet, are functional and fit securely. Performance: The CS7000X handles a wide range of fabrics from lightweight cotton to medium-weight denim without issue. Stitching is consistent, and the automatic tension settings work well in most cases. Final Thoughts: Overall, the Brother CS7000X balances beginner-friendly features with the capability to tackle more advanced projects. Nice features on this Brother CS7000X
I like the speed variations to test ruggedness. The highest speed makes the sewing machine shimmy. That's an easy fix with a rubber mat under the machine. However, on high-speed, I can see the bobbin bouncing thru that clear plastic cover. Wondering what else is going to rattle or break free. Note to self, "don't sew like a speed demon and enjoy your new creations". I make masks and still having difficulty going through multiple layers of fabric, batting, and elastic. It's doable (just slower) with this machine - not as smooth as I had hoped. For the money, I'm not complaining. However, not happy that cost of sewing machine dropped like 13 percent after purchase...I am still within 30 day period. Not sure this will hold up to quilting and free motion 🤔 - one or two rows at a time will tell. I will update later on that one. I do like the automatic needle threading feature. I watched a very good YouTube "Singer" demonstration to actually get the hang of it...Brother's demonstrations were terrible and more than annoying. I also noticed the hook doesn't always go thru the eye but off side. That is a user issue and shouldn't be that tempermental. The tabbed mechanism must be lowered exactly and fully before pushing the hook mechanism forward and thru the eye. That took a New York minute to master plus the "Singer" demonstration. Threading the machine is streamlined. Can't really do it wrong...just follow the numbered path. Can't use cones on this spool pin - forgot about that one. The thread stand I later purchased feels heavy and sturdy but needed to tape it to the table to keep it from moving. I may upgrade later. For now, this is a decent machine with plenty of features that I'm still testing. A good machine for beginners - not complicated. The included feet were certainly enough to get me going...

Highly recommend for beginning sewers
💙 Opened on 2/23/26 - very easy to use for first time sewer. Cannot recommend enough. GET THREAD. Only complaint - wish the machine came with a small amount of thread. I believe there was a package that came with thread for a higher price.

I wish I bought this machine sooner.
This is my second sewing machine and I am completely blown away by how effortlessly this machine works. I never thought I would call a sewing machine graceful, but it totally is. I am actually so grateful now that my original machine (another brand) broke because now I have this wonderful machine. It was easy to set up, and I love that it ends the stitch with the needle down, so you never have to worry about the fabric shifting and its an easy button to lift the needle back up to the right spot. I also love how easy reloading the bobbin compartment is and the screen helps you choose the right presser foot for the stitch. And it comes with all the presser foot options, like a walking foot! So incredibly happy.
