Don't use on anything you care about
This stuff is, well... I guess difficult would be the right word all around.I'll admit, I was dubious, but figured I'd give it a shot, because it was better than the alternative. Here's how it was supposed to go:1. Color-match the liquid patch material (henceforth, "goop") with the handy quick-color guide, then fine tune it to the actual item to be repaired.2. Heat the heat-transfer device on an iron while you3. Spread the goop on the repair, backing it with some fabric if necessary, and4. Apply the grain/texture/transfer swatch onto the goop. Then it's a simple matter of rubbing the heat transfer device over the transfer swatch to cure the goop, which is heat activated. But, there were several problems, first and foremost being that the goop is NOT COLORFAST. It gets lighter as it cures, although it is specifically not supposed to. Also, it's impossible to guess for any given mixture how much lighter it will get, so you can't just compensate. Also, if even a tiny bit of it does not cure when you pull the swatch up, it tends to stick to the swatch, then drop away and smear on the general area. This is exacerbated by the fact that the heat transfer device is a 4" wooden dowel with a disc of stamped potmetal glued to the end, and if it's not perfectly even and level (which I assure you, it will not be) it does not heat uniformly and does not apply heat uniformly. Also, any mistakes or uncured goop is extremely hard to clean, and tends to dry on its own as you're frantically trying to rub it out with the recommended cleaners. If you're just trying to fix a hole in vinyl or leather, and don't care how it looks, this stuff is great. Mechanically, it's quite strong when applied correctly. Cosmetically, though, well... Maybe you'll get lucky and get it JUST right, or maybe the only people who will ever see it are colorblind.

Does what it says it does.
I used this product to fix a hole that was put in a vinyl purse I recently bought, shut it in the trunk (Whoops).I watched a couple of youtube videos on how to use this product and I think that really helped. Basically it works great, but please be sure you got the color as close as possible before you apply it to the damage. I had to redo mine after I got the color mixed a little better.it completely filled the hole and made it smooth. The texture card was great, but avoid the staple hole, it leaves a hole in your fix too.I found that using a lighter directly to the metal plate at the end of the stick worked best to heat it at a high temperature and not leave as much back soot on the metal, which was messy. The only thing I didn't really like was that when its finished it has a shine to it, my purse is not shiny.. so although it matches well and covered the damage perfectly, the shine draws attention. Overall, great product, does what it says it will do. I would buy it again.

Works... Under certain conditions.
Works, but as part of the patching process, you need to heat a wooden dowel with a metal plug on the end of it (the metal part of course) to a certain temp to use it on the patch kit to bond the repair material after you have mixed and applied it to the tear. Didn't work so well when I am trying to patch a seat in my car, and I have to heat it on the stove multiple times and run outside to try to cure the material. I'm sure this works well if you can move what you are trying to repair close to your stove so you can heat up the metal and immediately apply it, but for me the wood started smoking on the dowel and stunk up the house, and I couldn't end up getting enough heat transferred outside to apply it to the patch inside my vehicle so I ended up scrapping the whole project and deciding to replace the leather section in the car entirely.

worked for me, no more hole on my leather home theater seat
I accidently knocked hookah coil on one of my home theater leather chairs, which created two holes, one small but the other was the size of a quarter... I felt bad and kind gilt bad seeing that whole in an expensive home theater set...I checked google and youtube and amazon and found out about this product, it was cheap so despite the bad reviews I bought it, worse case scenario it doesn't work and the lost wouldn't be that much.I followed the directions on the paper and have seen also a video about leather repair...the key is to fill any destroyed cochin with cotton and be patient cause the paint took almost 72 hours to dry completely, I applied two coats, my chairs are dark brown so the paint mix wasn't that hard. black + brown I was able to get the write color...and after I was done, I did polish it with kiwi liquid shoe polish...my wife say that it look good and it's not noticeable unless you look close. so I'm happy with the result.

Dont expect it to look like the advertised pictures.
I consider myself to be pretty handy. I gave about an hour and a half for my repair. I did not expect much from the product and my couch that needed repair is pretty cheap. I can definitely say that if you have an expensive couch I would not recommend this product. Get a professional to fix it. However, if you are cheap (like me) and have a couch you don't mind screwing up it's worth a shot.My dog got in the house while I was at work and decided to put a couple nice tears on my vinyl seat cushion. Pictures show tears and repair in direct light so it's pretty exaggerated. I have pretty dim lighting in my living room so it's not that obvious. My couch is black so that makes it much easier. I could definitely see how color matching adds a whole element of difficulty. Keep that in mind.

hard and another tool needed.
This was not easy. I do have some art background and got pretty close to the couch color, but the compound definitely lightens. Listen when they say to test it on the included vinyl piece. The before and after photos are a little off color. The color turned out closer than it looks. The hardest part was getting this to cure. Do not THINK this will happen with the included piece of metal on a stick! I ordered a variable temperature heat sealer for less than $20 so I could reach this curing temperature. Nothing in my house except the oven got to 350 degrees. When I got up to 250 on the stove, the I closed tool started smoking. It was still too low of a temperature to cure this. The final result seems strong. I will update after we use the couch for a while.

unclear instructions and not enough product
The product might be okay. They give a very small sample. They tell you to do a sample run first. It didn't take. I re read the instructions and tried again. This time it seemed to work. The instructions are not clear and specific. Therefore when I made up another batch, I didn't add enough hardener. Buy this time I had no more product to make another small batch. Therefore $33.00 buck down the drain.

Not very good
The title, liquid leather, is deceiving! This is no more than paint. The finish was ok but it didn’t last. Wouldn’t recommend or purchase again.

Not too happy.
It was OK. It was not worth $20.00. Tiny containers of paint. Not in a packaging as shown. Not too happy.
P**!
Not to impressed with the amount of product. But ...
Not to impressed with the amount of product. But you get what you pay for. A little bit for a little bit!
