Guillermo del Toro Hardcover Blank Sketchbook (Insights Deluxe Sketchbooks)

The sketch book arrived on time and looked good under the shrink wrap but once unwrapped and upon closer inspection- the cover looks and feels cheap and rubbery.The 7 pages of illustrations in the front of the sketchbook are poorly printed and somewhat dull; the ‘journal writing’ is so poorly executed and its hard to decipher.There is one lone illustrated page at the end of the book that seems more of an after-thought.I think the sketchbook should have been in the 12.00 to 15.00 range tops; not nearly 23.00.Kind of disappointing but I will paste other illustrations over the beginning pages and the one end page and make something entirely different using the existing book as a base.

This book was wild and full of apt of depth. My girlfriend loved it for her Christmas gift and well let’s just say I get to enjoy it too when she’s not around! Highly recommend if you are a del Toro fan!

This journal is exactly as stated and what I expected. I wanted a blank journal and this includes about 12-13 of del Toro's sketches. If you're looking for an art book of del Toro's this is not it. For the price it's a decent journal. The cover feels like leather and though it is "hardcover" it is flexible, but not flimsy.

My daughter loves it. Lucky it survived the horrible packaging by Amazon,, the other book in the box did not.

Nice book, love the rubber band slip to keep it closed. Was hoping for a few cool images throughout the book. Great journal for the price though

I've had this on pre-order for quite some time, the description indicated that it should have been filled with his art. But again (this has happened to several pre-orders I have received where it's described as one thing but the listing and description change after the item is sent out), the description changed and now indicates that it's a blank sketchbook.Major disappointment.The paper isn't that high of a quality, it's, at best student grade. The book, binding and sample del Toro art are nice, but that's what you're paying for, not the quality of paper in the blank pages part.

Love how it lays flat for easy drawing. Not a ton of GDT drawings, but enough to feel inspired.

Wonderful book for my husband. He is a huge fan, so he loved going through it.

Esta hermoso. Voy a dibujar mucho en el. El papel es muy liso, pero tiene un gramaje suficiente para varias técnicas. No creo que resista agua, pero para medios secos esta bien.Amo a Guillermo del Toro y me encanta tener un pedacito de su diario con mis dibujos.

This sketchbook is great for aspiring artists. It only contains a few pages of notes from Del Toro but they very interesting designs. The binding is rigid and the design is very unique. The pages are high quality and in a tan hue. Overall this is a great buy becuase of its quality and inherent inspiration I highly recommend it to artists who like unique books in their collection.

Me quedo muy satisfecho con mi compra. El diseño es muy bueno y la introducción que da el maestro Del Toro al inicio es suficiente para inspirar a cualquiera a escribir o dibujar dentro las páginas de esta libreta. Altamente recomendable.

Realmente pensé que traería mas ilustraciones, únicamente dos hojas y lo demás en blanco, es atractivo el producto pero esperaba mas.
