I can't believe these are a thing for microwaves. Never seen one with a 'mica' shield until we had to book a stay at an airbnb for about 5 months. The house has this little microwave that had a mica shield. It had seen better days and eventually fell off and broke. I used a piece of wax paper to mark the notches on the microwave that held the sheet in place and I just transferred the pattern on the mica sheet and cut it out and notched it where indicated and just slid the new one in place. It was cheap enough that I didn't mind eating the cost of the sheet and the owner now has extra mica sheets.

Was unsure if I should've bought but it was worth it. Fixed the problem. Easy to cut.

My microwave was sparking so I bought these, hoping to fix the issue. However, later it turned out the sparking was caused by empty microwave (as long as I put food in there it is fine). Anyway, we still used these new covers, however, they are much thinner than my original one. I hope they were twice as thicker, just like the old one.

Highly recommend for adventurous DIYers. These generic parts are great, if you aren't afraid to trace your old part and make a new one. My microwave was sparking up, so I watched a how to fix video that told me I needed a new waveguide cover. Were they right! Years of use had cracked the wave guide in half. I looked online, but my microwave was so old, the part wasn't avaiable. These generic wave guides allow you to take out your part, trace in on the piece, then cut it out with scissors or a razor blade knife. It popped right into place, and my microwave is now working well.

I damaged the original one that came with my microwave while cleaning it. Purchased these and my microwave is actually performing BETTER than before!

It was too big for the slot so I placed the board at the slide in slit part and used an ink pen to mark and used scissors to cut a slit in the board and it was thick enough to hold in place and as you can see I marked the other side but didn't have to do anything its just holding in place because it's thick like a piece of cardboard. It's even a slight wider but it's ok because it's holding very well in place.

Trimmed one to replace my old microwave’s wave guide. Fixed it right up. I still have a few extra, which I’m sure I’ll use.
