Game changer!
I’ve installed many of these and half four of these set ups controlling different lights in my house. I don’t know how long these have been out for but as an electrician, the only way to achieve the function of these would be to run lots of 14–3 Romax which most times is not possible but more importantly much more expensive to the customer. This is probably one of the most important devices to have come out for lighting, in my opinion anyway. There is virtually no limits to switching lights from anywhere now. Lutron is a great brand and I have never run across any lighting incompatibilities with this brand. I’ve never installed one and had an issue with it, works every time. I do recommend an electrician install it for you, wiring is not a hobby and while it may look simple, there are lots of things good electricians look for in the switch box when they are installing devices like this and others. Anyway, highly recommend this and so glad to have found this a few few years back.

Helps with energy costs. Works well with HomeKit
I use the Lutron Castea system in conjunction with Apple HomeKit. They integrate seamlessly and easily while the combination allows a multitude of features. In addition, the Casseta Homebase network frees-up bandwidth on the 2.4Ghz band of my WiFi mesh network that would otherwise be taken-up by smart switches from any of the other vendors such as Kasa. Our four-story 3000sq.ft. townhouse functions nicely with a single Homebase connected via Ethernet to a Deco mesh node on the second floor. At first, I glossed over such features as adding remote switches and programming scenes via the Caseta app. Now I find they add tremendously to my home. For example, I have a Pico on the dining room table that adjusts all the lighting in and near the dining room for an evening meal with one touch. Same for the home theater; same for our primary bedroom at bedtime. I added a pico in the hallway using just a double gang faceplate on an existing single gang switch without any wiring at all. Now I can initiate the primary bedroom evening lighting scene - or turn on all the bedroom lights full strength - before I enter the room. There is even a pico with a built-in nightlight. If you have outdoor temporary lights, perhaps for the holidays, there are weatherproof outdoor switches you can program. All our permanent outdoor lighting is on the Caseta network for security and, of course, you can program switches for when a room is occupied via HomeKit. We also use the system for electrostatic air cleaners that help to keep our home dust and allergen free, turning them off when people are around and running them in vacant areas at night and when no one is home. As a bonus, energy bills have diminished a bit despite living in data center land. Take that AI.

Awesome Problem Solving Product
These are a game changer. Our home had low voltage system running to all the lights, and it was going to be a headache to rerun all the power. My buddy, who is an electrician, suggested this as an alternative, and in an afternoon he was able to rewire things to work off these switches. There is now a main board in the attic where the low voltage system was, and all the actual light switches in the rooms. No issues after 1.5 years of having them, and they have a sleek, modern look!

Minimal Effort 4-Way Light Switch.
My garage's overhead lighting was operated by two doorway mounted light switches (typical 3-way switch circuit). But I needed another switch at a third door location. I planned on pulling Romex cable to the new location and configure a 4-way lighting circuit. But I avoided doing that by using this Lutron Caseta Smart Switch Kit. What a time saver and it works great. I recommend using a qualified electrician, but the rewiring can be handled by an experienced DiYer. First I identified the switch location that connected directly to mains power. The main Lutron switch was installed there. At the other existing switch location I rewired it per the optional 3-way switch instructions that can be downloaded from Lutron. Finally, the wireless remote FOB was installed at its new location. No new Romex needed, it is wireless. The remote FOB can be used as a handheld control or mounted to the wall. I wanted it installed with an existing two-gang light switch. The cool thing about the FOB is that I didn't need to modify the new location's electrical box in any way. Instead, the existing two-gang switch box was used as-is; I only had to swap out its decorative wall switch plate with a triple-gang switch plate. I screwed the remote FOB directly onto the new switch plate then installed the wall plate over the existing switches. Everything works as expected, no surprises.

This product is exactly what I was looking for. I installed it in about 20 minutes. You do not need to buy anything else for this switch to work. Install switch in existing electrical box and program the remote. So much easier than running wires and another switch. Remote can be mounted anywhere you want. Quality if the product is excellent.

If you are like me and retrofitting a 3 way line in your home sounds like an impossible chore this product is for you. Easy to install and easy to pair remote switch. Solved my three way switch problem in an elegant manner. 10/10 said this user.

This product line is a game changer when to need to add switches where there’s no wiring. This is wired and speaks to the wireless unit perfectly each time. My only complaint is that it would be great to have a dimmer feature. I was having some issues installing this due to some confusing existing wiring, so called Lutron customer service and they walked me through the process and stayed with me on the phone until everything was complete and satisfactory. Now I will only buy Lutron whenever possible.

I installed this Lutron Caséta kit to control a 3-way lighting setup, and overall, I am very pleased with the quality. The installation was straightforward, and the physical switch feels premium compared to cheaper alternatives. The wireless remote is a fantastic addition that solved my wiring limitations without needing to run new cables. The only reason I am giving this 4 stars instead of 5 is a noticeable lag. When I press the button to turn the light on, there is a delay of about 4 seconds before the light actually activates. It is not a dealbreaker because the system is so reliable and never disconnects from the Wi-Fi, but the pause is noticeable enough to be slightly annoying. If you can live with that small wait, this is still the best smart switch system on the market.
