I bought these honestly because I was just going to take the stands and butcher them to make a light box holder for a photo booth I'm building. But when they came, I can say I was pleasantly surprised with these little lights. Are they high quality? No. For $45, you can't expect fantastic lighting with high quality stands. But they're a lot better than I did expect! The stands are very lightweight - which could be a positive or negative depending on how you look at it. They are not extremely tall, so you won't be using them over overhead lighting. But great if you're sitting down. They do come with swivel head attachments, which probably won't support a heavy attachment, but will definitely save you a $10 bucks a piece off buying them separately if you're using them just for the lights, or for other light weight use. The lights themselves are bright enough. All combined you're likely to get about 3000 lumens total out of them according to the manual (each light is supposedly 1000 lumens). The included filters are OK and will soften the LEDs a little, but you might consider putting a white semi transparent pouch over them or something to soften it even more. The one negative is that the set does not come with a power supply, so make sure you purchase your own supply. I hooked it up to a USB power supply that gives you power draw, and it said that each light draws 1.5amps, so make sure you get a supply that's going to provide at least 2 amps for each light. All in all, if you temper your expectations, I think you'll be pleased with the value of this little set. They'd be perfect for youtube videos, IMO, and honestly I will probably end up using the lights by themselves for the photobooth.

I'm a content creator for social media, and when I ordered these three lights, they truly exceeded my expectations. They have excellent quality and brightness, not to mention all the plates included for changing the color temperature. I would definitely buy them again.

I very much like the compact design, however it was considerably more flimsy than I thought it would be and the cord lengths are still too short. I’m afraid that if I collapse and open these too much, they’ll break in half and be rendered completely useless. I feel as if I use this item outside it will blow over if a nearby field mouse farted. And when trying to collapse/open it? I think my granny with arthritis and a recent shoulder surgery could snap it in half...easily. One of the three lights in the set is super wobbly and refuses to stand upright...hence if a BABY field mouse farted, this one would come crashing down without further provocation. The price is nice. This seems to be a “you get what you pay for” purchase. This was my first time needing something like this and I wish that I had invested more money and ordered a superior/sturdier product. While the cords are a decent length, I am photographing larger items (furniture), so I needed more cord length in order to place the 3 lights in proper position. I ordered (separately) 3 extension cables and this absolutely resolved my cord length dilemma...another $35 down the drain. Certainly not a manufacturer’s problem, but more of a design flaw. Think about it...if the 3 lights need to be in three different locations in order to reduce shadowing on the subject (even smaller items), these won’t work. If you only have 1 power source, you will either need a variety of cable lengths (in order to place the lights in different spots) or have ALL of them be longer so that some of them can remain at a short distance from the power source and others farther away. The “power on” indicators are nice and when I accidentally knocked them over a few times (again an issue of being too flimsy for my taste), nothing broke so that’s a plus.

What do I know about lighting? Not much. But these work for me and have paid for themselves for ebay lighting. I can fit them in a backpack with my camera and accessories. Perfect!

The small and compact they do the job. They're not sort of professional standard but for small projects such as product lighting at home, they work fine

Works well and the color combinations are useful. Easy enough to set up. Note that if you're looking to light up a specific area of a room, you may want to also get a more focused light source as this one scatters light over a wider area.
