One Giant Regret
I never have liked shaving, it was something that simply made it on my "to do list" every couple weeks. Most of the time, I used my electric trimmer to just keep my stubble neat enough to not worry about. Then I bought this. Sincerely, I enjoy shaving now. I'm not quite sure if it's the perception of being "old fashioned" or just enjoying taking my time (which this product sort of requires you to do) with a timeless tool. I wish that people who were on the fence with buying this product could just HOLD IT in their hand. I'm convinced that 99% of men who felt the weight of this razor would probably buy it instantly. There's something very satisfying about using something SUBSTANTIAL on your face instead of a plastic death trap that most disposable razors seem to be. It only took me two shaves to get efficient with angling the razor optimally to make quick but close shaves without any noticeable irritation. As someone who has at least 3 different types of disposable "swivel head" cartridges in my drawer, it is so nice to have a permanent product that replaces the waste. I am by no means a tree hugger but I appreciate spending more money on something that lasts (and works good!) rather than cheap crap that has to be purchased different times. My only regret with this razor is that I didn't buy it sooner. It seriously changed my regimen from loathing shaving/trimming into something I genuinely enjoy and take pride in. I hope this helps people who are not sure about this type of razor.

Great razor, but users need to understand how safety razors work
A lot of the negative reviews on here focus on 3 things: 1- Handle sheers off at base of threading 2- Razor burn 3- Complaints about being unable to replace the razors safely All three of these issues are not issues with the product it's most likely user error, with the exception that there might have been a razor that has manufacture defects for the handle. The handles sheer off most often because people slam the head onto the sink like it's a mach 3 plastic blade to clear it out instead of just running water in from the side of the head to clean it out and rinsing after each pass. Razor blades need to be replaced every 3 or so shaves, stop using the same blade for 6 months and the razor will work better this happens with every razors. Replacement blades are very easy to find just type in "safety razor blade" and look for a dual sided safety blade you do not need to get the brands blades, I use FACON blades and they're fantastic. When replacing the blade hold it by the sides where it is not sharp to unscrew the handle, set it down on the counter, hold the sides and lift the backing off, remove old blade by the sides, drop new blade into the threads as imaged, place the backing on again, then hold by the sides where it's not sharp, and thread the handle on. The razor works great, not had any cuts with it and no issues. I'm coming from a butterfly razor so compared to that this was a breeze to use. The sharpness of the razor is dependent on the user regularly replacing the disposable blades with decent replacements. I included a series of photos for step by step blade replacement as it did seem that some people are having issues and hopefully the photos help, it sucks to get cuts trying to get a better shave 100%. I can confidently hit the underside of my ear lobes and side burn where it hits the top of my ear and not look like I got into a knife fight.

Great Shave, Awkward Blade Change
This safety razor delivers an incredibly smooth shave. I'm genuinely impressed with how close and comfortable the results are—it's definitely a top performer in terms of shaving quality. However, the design for replacing the blade is a significant drawback for me. Unlike models with a handy butterfly feature (where the top opens with a simple twist of the handle bottom), this razor requires you to fully unscrew the entire head to access and swap the blade. It's a fiddly process that feels unnecessarily complicated and, honestly, a bit less secure than the butterfly mechanism when you're handling a sharp, exposed blade. While the shave itself is fantastic, the effort and slightly higher risk involved in the blade change might make me look for an easier-to-load model next time.

Really high quality single blade razor
This is a really good and reliable razor. Ive never cut myself with it no nicks or nothing. Its stays in good shape and the blades are really easily replaceable. Some of if not the cleanest shaves ive ever had highly recommended for a long lasting razor.

Sturdy, comfortable, no razor burn, heavy
I agree with with some peoples reviews. People should understand how to use these razors correctly. My first shave was hassle free, no razor burn and felt comfortable. The razor has some weight to it so it feels great to yield in hand and makes a firmer shave not "dainty". After having broken my cheap silver generic Walmart brand razor after years of use I've been missing out on this one. Hoping this razor last a long time it should as it has brass in it. Came with 3 blades though other brands will fit in it. I purchased the recommended blades for it a big set of 20X5 boxes so have a good amount. Haven't used those yet only what it came with. I did notice the first couple of scrapes was really cautious as the guard is dif. From my original razor. Took no time to re-learn this new angle and also the power with the weight from it. I use just basic lather soap cheap white soap and a coffee cup with brush. Nothing fancy....I'm really impressed with the sturdiness and weight. I've been missing out for a while now. Should have gotten this long ago instead that China crap from Walmart.

I have a very thick facial hair so I have been trying to find the best solution for shaving for decades (more than 25 years now). I tried everything from highest quality shaving tools (Braun 9 pro etc) to every kind of razor. In the end old style safety Razors gave best result. And The Plow is very premium build quality, easy to hold and use with its weight distribution and also practical to use when changing blades. But still thats a review for the item but if you have lets say a mole on your face, they are for sure going to make them bleed as their distance between blade and shaver is more than standard razors. And I had to switch back to standard blades (I use gillette mach 2's once and throw them away, this is the best result I am getting) in the end.
