Wouldn't think of finishing wood without it
Needed to add support to a metal rafter in order to support winch. Installed 10' cedar pole. Used three coats of sanding sealer on surface of pole. All three coats went on in the same day. Drys quickly. The pole was bleeding sap and sanding sealer sealed the sap in. Two coats of polyurethane on top of sanded down sanding sealer. Worked beautifully. Sanding sealer helps insure smooth finish coats. Highly recommended.

Outstanding product
This sanding sealer is excellent. It goes on smooth and dries in about 15 to 30 minutes. It's only used for bare wood and nothing stained. I am able to put on three or four layers and sand in between in one day. Of course it depends on the size of the project. It's my go to sanding sealer.

Great product, may leak during shipping
I like to apply this on MDF using a foam brush prior to spray painting so the board doesn't absorb the paint, especially on the edges. It works really well...however for some reason the way Amazon ships this product, the lid comes loose during transit and the sealer makes a mess of the box it came in. I had to return the first delivery because the box was soaked with the sealer. Replacement tin also leaked...but I didn't bother with a return and used it as is.
