I had two hip replacements, and this product was a game-changer in relieving the swelling due to surgery. It is sturdy, built to last, and can be used on other parts of the body (shoulders, legs, hips...).

I've tried several hip ice pack, but this one is head and shoulders above the rest, with a quality wrap, excellent straps that hold it in place, durable, and does not leak. It's comfortable to wear after surgery on hip, and th design keeps the thick wrap in place. A great buy, you won't regret it, and once used, it will regain the cold ice pack compression in approximately 3-4 hours.

I ordered this product after recently having a total hip replacement. The order arrived quickly and was well packaged. I found the product to be well made and just as described in the ad. One side is soft and velvety, the other side a waterproof material. The size is just right for me at 124 pounds. It covers the front, side and back of my hip area. The straps are plenty long enough to wrap around my waist and thigh. If I were much larger, I don’t know that the product would be large enough to cover the whole hip area. When frozen, it is very stiff and I have to let it thaw for 10 minutes or so in order to be able to wrap it around my body. Condensation builds up on the waterproof side VERY badly. I have to wrap the unit in a hand towel in order to not get my clothing wet. Overall, the product does what it says it will do. It has a few flaws, but the good outweighs the bad. I I do not regret buying and have found it to be very helpful for my hip. I am contemplating buying a 2nd unit so that I always have one ready to use.

Great ice pack and soft cover. However ice pack needs to be wider since not many have the body of the skinny model. Additionally the straps are way too short to put around your waist and thigh strap too long.

Provides great coverage of the upper thigh/hip area after my hip replacement. Cool lasts about 20 minutes before the gel heats up and needs to be refrozen. Best to have at least 3 of these.

I purchased two to use after my total hip replacement and they worked great! Stayed cold for good amount of time! The straps help it stay in place and I loved that one side was soft. Only downside, is I had to make sure to use with a towel because they do sweat some as you wear them. Highly recommend!

Great item. Very well thought out and designed. It has a velour inside to protect your skin. Belts adjust as they should. It really hugs the cold to your hip.

My sister recommended this icepack after she had hip replacement surgery earlier this year. I needed it for painful bursitis in my left hip. I liked that one side was a soft material and the other side was a colder, plastic. I would initially use the soft side on my hip and when that started to get warm, I flipped it over to the plastic side which was still cooler. There are 2 straps which you can use to hold the pack in place. I did not walk around with this ice pack, but sat on the couch with a pillow wedged against the opposite side to help hold the pack in place. It is a large ice pack that easily folds up and is inserted in its own special bag for the freezer. It does not take up too much room either. All in all, I highly recommend this for a large ice pack. It cured my bursitis after using it every night for approximately 10 days.
