Product Description Crate, a division of Loud technologies, Inc has been one of the top manufacturers of high quality, rugged and innovative instrument amplification products since its introduction the 1970's. Among the most regarded and prolific brands in acoustic and electric guitar, keyboard and bass amplification, today's Crate range of products retains its focus on bringing value, reliability and advancement to musicians worlwide. .com The CA30 Taos compact acoustic amplifier delivers 30 watts RMS and incorporates two inputs, each with its own gain control. Three bands of equalization, with Crate's exclusive Contour control, provide exceptional tone control and minimize feedback. The polypropylene 8" woofer/dome tweeter combination delivers smooth, pristine sound with outstanding projection and fidelity. The CA30 also features 8 of Crate's stunning DSP effects, including short and medium Slapback Delays, Echo, Chorus, Rotary Speaker, Chorus (with Hall Reverb), and two distinct Reverb modes. There's even a front panel Insert jack, so you can add your own effects, and a Line Out jack for chaining additional amplifiers. Why is it so hard to amplify an acoustic guitar? By its very nature, an acoustic instrument requires lots of feedback control, especially when it's asked to compete with drums and a stage full of rockers. And although most amps can effectively control feedback, they often do so by severely sacrificing tone for volume. Our CA Series amps give you all the tone and features necessary to put your acoustic sound on top of the mix, whether you're soloing at the Opry or strummin' at the coffeehouse. With its unparalleled balance of clarity, power, natural tone, and intuitive controls, the Crate Acoustic Series remains our most widely endorsed amp line. Try one and you'll see why.

Impressed with sound and build quality
I'm just taking up guitar lessons and decided to splurge by buying this amp. I'm glad I did. The sound is natural, and it seems to be built solidly. My Taos is made in China, according to the printed description on the box in which it came. I was hoping that it was made in the USA, as someone previously posted.

Best Amp On The Market in this price range!
This is a great sounding amp! There really is a difference between an amp specially designed for Acoustic Guitar and Voice VS. an amp made for Keyboard. The digital effects is awesome! Plenty of power. Nice low-end bass. Soft crisp Highs. Would highly recommend to anyone either on a budget or who just wants to sound their BEST!!!

Great little amp
I bought this amp 3 months ago and have played it in jams as well as daily practice sessions. It works beautifully with my acoustic/electric Ibanez. The 30W power is just right for small gigs and jams. It gives great sound at lower settings as well as when I crank it up. The tilt-back feature is a simple device and idea that projects the sound to the audience perfectly. It is built like a tank. The reverb and setting knobs on it are a bit crowded but once you get it set, you'll not be adjusting it anyway. The one feature that persuaded me to buy this amp, besides its affordability, great looks and features,is that it is made right here in the USA.

Perfect for a small music room
I bought a 100-watt amp prior to this one for a small music room. That amp started distorting at normal volume settings. I returned it and bought this one. The 30-watt amp sounds just as loud (to me) and has no distortion at the same volume. For family sing-alongs, I really needed extra volume for the vocals, so I use the two 1/4" inputs for microphones, and the "line in" for a separate mixer that manages my keyboard and an electric acoustic guitar. I use the 1/4" headphone jack on my mixer. It has its own volume control, so I can control the mixer volume separate from the amp volume (note that the "line in" jack on the amp does not have its own volume control, since it's really meant for chaining another amp or sound effects device). I use the "line out" jack on the amp to run all of the combined sounds into a digital recorder. Everything works great, sounds great, and I could not be happier with this arrangement.
