Good question, but I feel the answer is No. The 3x set-screws that hold the light onto the microscope are threaded through plastic. I don't believe that this would stay tight and in place on a drill-press.

How does it fit a mounting size of 63 mm when the ring light ID is only 60 mm?

I have a protective plain glass lens on the bottom opening which has a smaller outer diameter than the bottom part of the microscope. I screwed my light onto that rim. Btw. This light is awesome I paid hundreds for my first and second set of lights. They never last long and the LED lights fail one by one and the light gets dimmer and dimmer. Lets see how long this one last. So far absolutely no complaints

I work with a soldering iron under my amscope stereo zoom with this unit, which has plenty of room. the worst that can happen is you will put a burn mark on the housing if you are not careful. The light works great and isn't hot like the flourescent bulb type, it is a great product for the price.

Will this light fit a se308pz microscope

As and wonder of this light I have a Meji stereo Micro scope. I have a place to use the set screws. They are flat not tapered. Looking at your scope I’m not sure if the tapper would present a problem? Your call
