Awesome science project!
This was a fun science project for us. Purchased these 3 times with about 1 making it each time to at leaast a couple feet tall. Follow the directions and I'd expect the same results. Our goal was to plant outside, unsure if they would live. We live just outside of Indianapolis, Indiana. Winter had several days with a low around -5 degrees Fahrenheit and it's thriving. It grows at a Weeping willows pace, which is rapid in my opinion. It's been growing 2 years and 8 months and in the ground roughly half of that. It is 15' tall in the picture. It has never been trimmed but we used bungee cords/straps to push it upward as you can see in the picture. We wanted something similar to a Weeping Willow but not as massive. It has been referred to as sideshow Bob since applying the bungee cords. Lol

Be patient
Not gonna lie when I received what I thought was a plant I was shook. Three sticks came, and I expressed a few expletives and told my daughter this wasn’t what I ordered. She went to the reviews and read them and it was exactly what I ordered. Then we start laughing. I can make anything grow so I proceeded to get my vases and put the 2 to 3 inches of water in the bottom and place the sticks inside the vase in a very well lit area of the house. Within a few days, they immediately started to root. I was elated then the task of me seeking out the proper soil so that I can plant them in pots, well that took another few days and while I waited, they started to bud. This brought me quite a bit of joy as I received these around the time that my granddaughter was born, so they are growing together. Every day, looking at them and seeing how they are transforming has brought me tremendous joy, I am definitely awaiting what the final result will be with this beautiful plant. Just a sidenote, always read the details of the product. For me it has been a happy happenstance. I would definitely take on this task again in the future

Happy to watch them grow
I was skeptical because you just get clippings instead of a actual plant. You get a thick piece & 2 thin ones. I'm happy to say mine are all growing & can't wait for the final results. I was afraid one of the thin ones died but it's budded in 4 places now! The pictures of my plants are 2 weeks in since I got them on 3/4. I change out the water about every two days & haven't planted them yet because they need more roots first but that hasn't stopped them from growing!

Worth the gamble....or so I thought.
Regrettably I have to edit my original posting. 3 out of the 4 extra cuttings died; 2 in water 1 in soil. The 4th cutting and the big cutting were infested with spidermites. I isolated them and began neem oil treatments, because they were not yet in soil the small cutting died quickly. The big piece however after 2x daily treatments for several days I finally gave up and got rid of the branch, the ruthless spidermites would not leave! Taking the 16 dollar loss was well worth it in the end as I'm not going to risk my 100+ other houseplants, trees and herbs to spidermites. Looks like I learned my lesson with online ordering of live plants, it might work out for some customers but it's just not a gamble I'll ever be willing to take again. I'll admit I was super nervous to purchase plants online. Thankfully with this company, it is no longer a worry of mine. The branches arrived beautiful and are doing fantastic in water. The little guys are ready for pots and the big branch is sprouting roots and leaves everywhere! Had a small snafu with the directions arriving wet and I emailed for a new copy. I received the fastest reply ever. These guys really care about their plants and customers. 💚

Follow the instructions!!!!
Update:3/7/2022 this was gifted to 2 family members. Both contacted me the plants are now dead with a black fungus growing on them. No change in soil, followed instructions to a T, unhappy and weird it occurred at around the same time with two different households 45 minutes from each other…. Update: including pics of plants now almost 4 weeks later. All 3 stems are blooming!!! The bright light is the grow light I also bought on Amazon, it came recommended after I added the CZ bonsai tree to my shopping cart. I plan on posting pics when I can, but since these were gifted I will have to come back to this review to update. I got instructions on how to grow and followed them to the T. As soon as the stems came in I submerged them in a cup of water 2 inches deep. After watching CZ’s video I then bought a $14 grow light since I was to scared to put it by the window (I’m cheap and don’t like turning my heat on in winter so it gets cold and the plants were suppose to be in a warm environment). Can I just say the plants are blooming faster than what was stated on the video! They gave me extra stems and all of them are budding and have roots growing after 1 1/2 weeks! I am so happy I was actually able to gift a plant with some buds so it didn’t look like a stick in a cup lol
