Casio Battery Rechargeable CTL1616F

I bought this to keep my old Casio solar powered watch working correctly. It works just like the original because it is the same as the original battery. This is a rechargeable battery and is the correct battery to use so the watches won't get damaged.

I purchased this battery so I could replace the battery in my best friend's CASIO G-Shock watch. It is a special battery as it is a rechargeable battery that the watch recharges using solar power. It installed easily and I returned the watch to my best friend (84 years young!) last weekend. He is happy to have it back. I will buy this again when needed.

Thks particular battery (CTL1616F) is the OEM replacement for the battery in the Casio WaveCeptor WVA-470 series wristwatch (among others, I'm sure). Easy installation and I was back up-and-running in just a few minutes' time. For Casio Solar Tough watches, do not purchase an alkaline battery, as the watch charges the battery via light exposure to its face.

The battery was an exact replacement and restored my Casio Pathfinder solar watch to great battery life.

Works just like a replacement battery should.

A perfect fit for my Casio G-Shock GW-2310. Need very pointed tweezers to unlock the existing battery enclosure (and some very small screw drivers). I also needed to remove the screws holding the straps (in order to remove the back cover) even after removing the 4 screws holding it. A little tricky, but visual instructions can be found on YouTube.

I bought a CTL1616F rechargeable battery for one of my G-Shock Mudmaster GWG-1000 watches from my collection and what I received was a complete joke. The battery came unsealed, just thrown into a cheap zip-lock bag like a used part. No original Casio packaging, no protection, nothing professional at all. For almost $20, I expected a brand-new, factory-sealed battery – instead I got this careless, improvised packaging. Totally unacceptable.

My watch is now like new. I didn’t have to replace the battery for 18 years until recently. Imagine that. The battery is charged by the sun. I hope I get another 18 years out of it.
