Dalat Peaberry Robusta Unroasted Green Coffee Beans, 3 Pounds

Insane amount of caffeine and it has a bit of an earthy tone and chocolate notes as it becomes more developed in flavors after sitting for a while. However my only complaint is that the peaberries are different sizes which can contribute to an uneven flavor after roasting. Although, I still enjoy this product and will buy it again.

These are great Robusta beans that really compliment the cappuccino's I make with a blend of 25% Robusta and 75% Aribica beans. I tend to roast these med-dark which yields the best flavor in a mixed coffee drink. Great thick crema. Bold taste. No stones or debris in the bag either. Great beans.

if you are accustomed to roasting high-end Arabica beans like Ethiopian dry process, this robusta stuff will surely turn your stomach. if you love great flavors, beware of Robusta beans, the taste is godawful. i got some of these at the urging of a caffeine addict friend who refused to believe that robusta isn't worthwhile, i tried to tell him. turns out, this was some of the most disgusting stuff i have ever tasted in my life, right up there with durian fruit. light or dark, doesn't matter, the flavor in the cup made from these beans is very similar to boiled cardboard. this stuff stunk up my coffee maker so bad, i had to throw it away and buy a new one. i wish i were joking. understand what you are getting into. there is a very good reason that there is almost no demand whatsoever for Robusta coffee.

This a good batch for robusta beans. They take a little longer to roast because they are bigger. Not a bad thing. This stuff is too strong to drink by itself. It makes really good taste when mixed in a blend with Arabica beans! Enjoy!

This must be what Folgers is made from (Robusta Beans). These beans are not bad, but they are not that good either. They are just alright. If you want extra caffeine at the expense of flavor, these are perfect. They would be something good to add to some light to medium roasted arabica beans.I had to try these for the novelty of it but don't think I could justify it again. Excellent Arabicas can be purchased for less than these.

I have been drinking another Middle American Coffee for over 15 years; i get the green beans and roast them until light brown.The more you roast them, the more caffeine you burn off. I roast them in a Convection Oven at 450 degrees, Four cups of greenbeans for 25 to 30 minutes is what I usually need. I got the beans yesterday and roasted the 4 cups today. I made a cup of coffee with the espresso maker and my son asked for a cup also. He drinks his black and I drink mine with fat free organic milk He liked the nutty flavor to it and so did I. I was not bitter at all. I only used one measure of beans, half of what I usually use. I do not feel nervous or shaky and have been going all day. I had my coffee at 10:30 a.m. and it is 6 p.m. now, and I am still going. Clinically, I did receive a working dose of caffeine. I did not drink any green tea today and did not need a lift for anything. This was my first try at Robusta. I was attracted to this product because they said High Caffeine content. I did no want to get a coffee bean that had had the caffeine washed out of it. So with that wording, I felt this was worth a try. I am satisfied. Would recommend this product unconditionally.

Bought this to prove that robusta (high caffeine) doesn't taste as good as Arabica. I was right.

The description says great for espresso, and they're not kidding. Just as described, very tasty.
