My Infiniti M35x has Bluetooth, but, only for voice calls. I wanted a solution for streaming music. This product fit the bill perfectly. There are some with a mic, but that could conflict with the car factory Bluetooth. Also, I have wired it internally from the cigarette lighter port. So the adapter gets powered when the car is turned on and powered off when the car is turned off. Caution: this unit is 5V and most cigarette lighter ports are 12V. So, I have a cigarette lighter to USB adapter that is used to power this Bluetooth adapter. I have paired multiple phones. The adapter connects to the last connected phone. If it is a different phone, you can go to the phone Bluetooth settings and initiate the connection. This is fine for me. Sometimes there is a hiss in the speakers at low volumes or if the Bluetooth is paired but not playing anything. This is not the limitation of the Bluetooth, but, ground loop noise. I have not found it to be an issue. There are products available to address this on Amazon as well as other places. I have not measured the power consumption but expect that it will be low power based on The Bluetooth 5.1 spec. When I start the car, the phone is paired to the car’s factory Bluetooth for voice calls and this unit for streaming audio automatically. I am happy with this product. Hopefully, the unit quality holds up, which only time can tell. Will post updates in a few months.

Server solution to gain Bluetooth capability, use in conjunction with a USB audio adapter. Will use 2 USB ports (2.0). The USB Audio adapter provides audio output, this adapter plugs into the audio adapter and a USB Port for power and converts audio to Bluetooth output. Works great! So many people complain that they can't get Bluetooth on Windows Server and this is a nice work around for cheap. Should work fine on older TV's using the headphone jack, I've used other brands for that but haven't tried this one as I bought it specifically for the server.

Very good price for the features advertised, but the optical output does not work. The aux. output works fine, but sound quality using the aux. out of the adapter with my Hi-Fi audio system is not all that great. Optical or digital I/O typically produces much higher sound quality which was the main reason for choosing this device.

Our boat has a Kenwood marine stereo with 8 speakers, a subwoofer and two wired remotes; one on the swim platform and another at the Captain's chair. Stereo still performs great but is just old enough that it lacks BT connectivity. All of the accessory inputs are taken for the subwoofer and wired remotes so I needed to find an alternative or replace the whole system. I took a chance on this adapter and it performs perfect. I have the adapter itself plugged into a USB charge port (for power) and then run a cable to the AUX input for the stereo. It connects fast, stays connected and has better range than I anticpated. The short money I paid for this set up is ideal and saved me from having to replace an entire system which would have been about $1K to get the same features I have now with my marine stereo.

Bought this to add two bluetooth earbuds to one device and because samsung tv only takes optical output (no 3.5 mm jack). Initially when i set it for samsung, earbuds gave a weird static noise. The fix is to go to sounds setting -> advanced setting -> for optical audio -> set digital audio output to PCM only. Other than that, the optical cable doesnt realy fit that snug, seems easy to pull out but it stays in place and does the job regardless. It doesnt have volume control and the tv remote doesnt control the volume either. I use the earbuds to control it since they have that feature. The first earbud always connects automatically. The second always needs some button pressing to connect but then again, for the price, not a big deal.

This things works instantly. No issues there. However it only plays one side of the music. In my case it is the right side of my car. The left side is dead. I know because if I adjust the balance to the left side of my car its only silence while if balance is adjusted to the right side I get music on the right side. If I play a cd or plug in an MP3 I get both right and left channels. It is only when I play music from any bluetooth device through this thing that I only get the right channel. That seems very silly. How much more expensive or difficult would it be to have this bluetooth device work on both the right and left channels? Perhaps mine is defective.

This is a cool little gadget. I have an older car without bluetooth capability, so I plug this baby into a power inverter, and then plug the audio cable into the car. Seeing as this is bluetooth, it frees up my phone to charge now. It is compact, and doesn't have to hang itself off the 1/8 inch jack like many similar products do. As far as the sound quality, I was surprised at how powerful it is! It puts out a fairly high intensity signal. Much stronger than what my phone can put out. I would not plug headphones into this, as I believe that might be dangerous. Aside from that, it works great so far! Suits my needs perfectly.

Nada, no funciona.

This product was required to connect my old analog turntable to my soundbar via Bluetooth. It works a treat! It was very simple to connect to my turntable and then to pair it wirelessly via Bluetooth to my soundbar. I’ve just modernised my turntable!
