Here are the flavors I've tried from Pure Protein and my thoughts on them. Chocolate Peanut Butter - flavor is very mild, not much peanut butter flavor. rather chewy. Flavor scale 1-5(best): 3 Galactic Brownie - least favorite out of the bunch, really chewy, doesn't taste like a brownie at all. Flavor scale 1-5(best): 1 Lemon Cake - dessert like, doesn't taste anything like a traditional protein bar, it has a sweet taste, however the lemon flavor sticks with you for awhile. One of my favorites, and will order again. Easy to chew! Flavor scale 1-5(best): 5 Zig Zag Cake - doesn't really taste like the little Debbie zebra cakes, but its a nice try. Dessert like, you feel like its a treat more than a protein bar, no lingering after taste. Another favorite! Flavor scale 1-5(best): 5 Brookie - the top cookie layer has an odd texture, gritty and dry. Easy to chew, and no lingering taste. Flavor scale 1-5(best): 4 Sundae Cone - I don't get anything sundae cone from this, but its got a good flavor, easy to chew and overall one of the better ones out there. Flavor scale 1-5(best): 4 I've also tried the galactic brownie after microwaving it for 8-9 seconds based on a 1000w microwave. It sort of helps you chew through it, but it makes a heck of a chocolate mess, its the least favorite flavor. I hoped that it would make it easier/better to eat, sadly it didn't. I will not get this one again. The Sundae Cone, Brookie, Lemon Cake and Zig Zag I will be ordering using my Amazon subscribe and save.

I have a hard time getting my daily protein in because I've been a vegetarian my whole life. I've tried several bars and gave up then came upon these and decided to give bars a go one more time. These are very tasty, no after taste, pairs well with tea (or coffee), not artificial flavored per se. They do have a much larger ingredient index than I prefer when eating any food, but are a nice change on occasion and I've thoroughly enjoyed them. I've ordered two times now and always seem fresh and the quality and texture has been good. Shame processed food (99% of bars) has to have so much junky ingredients, but it's unavoidable especially for those that need to keep weight on.

I ordered these in Lemon Cake, Chocolate Deluxe and Chocolate Mint Cookie to try them out. Love that I can get 19 - 21 grams of protein in a "meal bar". I found the chocolate deluxe bar to be a bit gritty which I account for by the amount of protein they put in the bar (21 grams) with 17 carbs and 180 calories, but had a nice brownie-type chew to it. The chocolate mint cookie was good, but not as minty as I was expecting (with 19 grams of protein, 20 carbs & 180 calories). The lemon cake bar I was really surprised. It was very tasty, not gritty, had a nice lemon flavor (with 20 grams of protein), but was also the highest in calories with 200 and the lowest in carbs with 16. Any of them eaten with a hot beverage definitely takes the hunger pangs away. I have to say the lemon was definitely my favorite and worth the 200 calories as a meal replacement with a cup of coffee or hot tea. I'd give the lemon a 5 star and the two chocolates 4 stars just because they weren't quite what I was expecting.

Delicious and fresh. Quick and easy to toss in lunch bag. Tastes like lemon pound cake without all empty calories. High protein so I feel full in between meals. Great size and have bought and enjoyed many flavors and varieties.

It's nice tasting, gluten free and just right for my fitness goals. I wouldn't say lemon is my favorite flavor but it works and tastes good enough .I used it when I was studying or after workouts so it's very convenient. It has 2g sugar per serving so keeps you stable. Only one flavor came in the box, but it has a satisfying taste when it's soft, the bars are medium sized.

I love the salted caramel flavor but REALLY not a fan of this lemon one. It’s so so sweet-half of it is the “frosting” layer. Good lemon flavor but such a dry texture.

So delicious! Very lemony, guilt-free dessert. It's a filling, quality cake-like with frosting texture. Non gritty. Not overly heavy, low sugar. Bar size is adequate. It's so delicious, you'll wish it was 3-4 bites bigger! Convenient for travel. Toss a couple in the car or bag. This one does get melty. I like to put them in the freezer and eat like an ice cream bar.

Looooove Pure Protein bars! The nutrient content seems very reasonable for the price you’re paying and these always arrive fresh with plenty of time before the Use By date. I love this brand because they have so many flavors and they actually taste good and aren’t empty calories. I will say this lemon cake variety is probably the most artificial tasting flavor of the ones I’d tried and that’s why I’m giving it a 4 star review. However, it’s still a very, very tasty protein bar. They’re so convenient and I always carry one with me for a post workout snack when I know I’m going to be on the go.
