I bought it for a high school player who wears a size Large batting glove, and he could barely get his hand in to begin with. That's not all that rare, as many gloves I've tried in the past without adjustable wrist straps have smaller openings, but once you get your hand in there, they usually fit ok. Alas, that is not the case with this glove. It's 13 inches, which is as big as a first baseman's mitt gets (for baseball; I think softball goes a little bigger), but the inside is quite small. My player said everything felt too tight, especially the thumb. The glove is also pretty stiff and will take a while to break in, but that's not a huge issue for me. I ended up returning this and getting a Mizuno, which fits him perfectly. Too bad, because again, this Rawlings model is a nice glove. I would recommend it to players who wear adult batting gloves sized medium and smaller. Review: Great glove - Great glove

A decent beginner's 1st basemen glove
A good starter for 1st base. The quality of leather is not close to "Heart of the Hide" and it shows when catching; it's a little too "bouncy or springy", so hard thrown balls would more likely bounce out of the pocket vs the more expensive models. It was relatively easy to break-in for my 11 year old.
