Better than advertised, very utilitarian briefcase
Received this today, so can't speak for longevity, but I doubt that will be an issue from my inspection of the bag. This case is well built, with heavy duty zippers and material. The hardware is pretty solid. The stitching is pretty standard for cases like this, but looks even, with thought given to trim and seam placement. There are two reinforcement bands sewn into the bottom. No space is wasted. For instance, there are Velcro closures on the sides near the ears for the shoulder strap that open up, giving you access even to those narrow areas of the bag. It also allows you to neatly tuck away the shoulder strap ears if you are not using them. The top flap has Velcro to hold one end closed, so you can just unzip it like a normal bag to quickly access it, or undo both zippers and the Velcro to have full open access to the main compartment. It also gives you an option for odd shaped items that need to poke out a bit, so you are not going to be limited like a full enclosing zipper would do. You want padding? You got it! Unlike other laptop bags I've had, that only have padding on one broad side, there is padding all over. This, along with the moveable/removable internal divider (with pocket) will not only let you carry your laptop more safely, but also organize things to your liking. If you are carrying something like a thin Android tablet, this can also act like a slip cover for it while traveling if you don't already have one. The shoulder strap is plentiful, and easy to adjust. Even someone as large as I am can comfortably carry it either loosely on one shoulder, or quickly adjust it for a cross shoulder carry. And it uses a comfortable broad padded nylon shoulder pad instead of the bulky and awkward-to-manage molded rubberized plastic ones. The carrying handle is Velcro closed and is plentiful and comfortable even with my large hands. The external pockets are sized well for those bulky or elusive items like the power brick, cables, earbuds, etc., so they aren't knocking against your tablet or laptop while you're traveling and are easy to find. This also leaves plenty of internal room in the main compartment for other items, from extra notepads to snacks. They have a vinyl backing to improve water resistance, but they are not padded or waterproof. I don't think personally that I'd put a camera or similar sensitive item in them. The utility pouches are sewn to a front pouch that has a zipped large flap that is also padded, exposing yet more room for a notepad, calculator, and other office or small items. This compartment can be opened from either side. The sewn in pockets are pretty conveniently sized, and the main pocket has a quick release buckled strap to help secure items. My only nitpick is I would have liked to have seen a moll strap across the top of at least one of the bottom pockets to act as pen holders, or dedicated pen pockets on the front of these. It has plenty of room overall. They didn't forget the back, either. The back has a, yep, padded, pouch that Velcros shut. There are also 4 nylon D rings for attaching this case to other things like a luggage cart, securing it to a backpack or luggage, etc. In a pinch, you could probably convert this to a waist pack or backpack if you had to. The moll straps on the sides and top are perfect for attaching additional pouches, pens, or keys/items on a carabiner for additional capacity. The only negative I have is there is a quick release buckled strap placed off center across the top, apparently intended as an expansion limiter. The strap is too long for this, and since it adjusts on the outward side, can't be drawn in enough to keep it from being loose at all times. Very surprising for such an otherwise well thought out bag. I may find another use for it in the future, or just remove it. But this is certainly not enough in my opinion to lower my overall rating of the bag. All in all, I recommend this bag for those of us who carry more than just a laptop when traveling and need something more utilitarian, or for those who are tired of having to rummage through their bag to find a small item on a crowded flight.

Good bag to carry gadgets, binders, notebooks, and 14 inch Laptop
Wanted something a little different to carry my stuff to the university where I teach physics. Fits a 14 inch laptop perfectly along with flash drives chargers, calculators, and other gear. Is compact yet deceiving on much it will carry. The small pockets on the front are very useful for keys and flash drives. One larger pocket for your phone on the front. I would recommend!

Great EDC for work
I was looking for something easy to carry stuff to/from work. I don't carry a ton, but wanted enough room/compartments for the few times that I do. Fabric is well made and typical "tactical" fabric. Love all the different sizes of compartments on the front. For me, the clip front when adjust the clip all the way out, hold my 24oz coffee thermos and still closes and clips! Perfect! Two Velcro pockets each hold a set of keys and slow perfect for that. Long horizontal pocket fits my sunglasses case perfect, BUT this is my only complaint. That zipper, just really sucks. It works, but needs to be more substantial like the top ones. I don't use a shoulder strap and one of the reason I got this, the handle is great, comfortable, and strong. I installed two zipper pulls for the top, you will need them! Overall a very good bag for the money.

Half a year later and still a nice work bag!
I purchased this bag 6 months ago with the hopes of carrying all my stuff for work. So far, I’m not disappointed. Everything seems to be staying together after some use and I do love how I’m able to attach my EDC pouch and my water bottle to the sides of it. The hook and loops on the bag seem to be holding up as well as the day I got it. Honestly, I don’t have any complaints with this bag and I think it is well worth the $40. I can say confidently that I think I am going to be using this bag for another 6 months with no complaints. Edit: It’s September 2024 and I’m still using it. Definitely worth it! I’d recommend you also get some Grimloc D-Rings for your bag, so you can hang some stuff on the outside of your bag with style.

Useful and compact for pilots.
It does the job. Sick and tired of expensive crapware that ends up with broken zippers or broken handles. I suspect the same crowd for specialized bags, say for pilots, go to the same source as this bag. No frills and yes I am a pilot. It fits all my logbooks, my laptop and countless keys as well as accessories in a small package that I can carry with me. I can attach headsets to it and it looks like one of those $200+ bags. Another advantage is on the street it assumes a simple utilitarian function without broadcasting I am an aviation professional or someone who has a specialized field. Well if it breaks I don;'t mind paying another $35-40 for a new one. Big deal.

I rarely review purchases
I ended up buying two of them for paniers on my E-MTB bike and these are great quality. I don't mind paying good money for quality but this was a steal for the price. I expected pretty good for the price... What I got was the same quality as the other "much more expensive" gear I purchased. I have range bags from Pollard and Briggs and Reilly and Pelican hard cases for travel luggage. Should sum it up for anyone on the fence. I haven't bought anything else from this supplier so I can only recommend the product I ordered. It would make an excellent carry on for laptop and gear if your a traveler.

Too small
Well priced and well built. Too small for my application.
