I bought a set of 1% smd resistors from this seller and just finished writing the review stating how impressed I was with it. I have to say the same thing here about this "tight" tolerance cap set as well. I haven't tested any with my impedance meter yet, but I have every confidence they'll be okay being npo types. My hats off to this seller for putting out very high quality items.

This capacitor book saved me years of my life.

This is a much better price for the exact same thing for general use capacitors, than buying from certified distributors(mouser, digikey). Passive components such as resistors and ceramic caps can be bought elsewhere unless a specific tolerance and absolute precision is needed. I only tested 4 different capacitors. All 4 where within tolerance. 1 was spot on and rated within .025%. 2 others were 2% and 4% and were rated at 5%. The 4th was a 10 µf and measured at 9.43µf. For amplifier repair these are perfect and work well. These will work for 99% of all projects out there. Happy with the kit.

My engineer friend has warned me that some of these kids contain low quality/poor tolerance parts. I haven't measured a lot of these, but I'm putting them in some precision devices that I make and I don't see any difference. The biggest positive of these books is that I don't have to order a bunch of line-items from Mouser every time I do a build. That makes a big difference when there's over 250 parts on a board!

if you need SMD cap assortment you can't go wrong with these

I've tested a few of these after accidentally dropping a few between the strips they come in and the organizer I store them in and they all seem to be as accurate as can be expected. Having said that, the strips themselves aren't marked with the values like every other book I've ever received, so it was a little tedious when removing them from the book one.....at......a......time........ so I wouldn't get them mixed up. When I was done separating them all, I had a nice large pile of broken/cut capacitors (photo) from the ends of the strips. In some cases they put 26 caps in each strip to compensate for the one that got cut in half on the ends, but not always. Several of the values came with 48/49 (2 strips of 25/ea.) whole, functioning caps instead of the 50 each that I ordered.
