Attractive, beautiful finish, easy to customize
Love this toolbox! The paint is vibrant and the finis makes it extremely attractive. I slapped a few university stickers and it feels like it’s mine! Locking mechanism is also great. Only downside is size the maybe the handle. The chain that keeps it attached is smart and cheap, but as a consequences it’s loud when you pick it up.

Small but Mighty! Nothing beats Japanese quality.
Japanese steel is the best! These paint isn’t perfect, the clasp is tight. This tool box is great. it is a little small, so there are some limitations of what you can put in it. The measurements are clear but make sure you do the conversion if you use inches.

Wonderful little toolbox!
Oh my, I love this thing. I see what all the fuss is about now. The blue COLOR is fabulous, which is so happy making for me. I tried to get an accurate photo but i think since its metallic its tricky. The blue is a bit more turquoise than what it shows here. So yes, blue, but lively! Not cobalt. The paint job on mine is perfect. Arrived with no dents, hooray! The handle design is just right. I've had toolboxes where the span was too short so the box would tip side to side. Not this baby. She's fully loaded already and totally stable. Love that. I'm using mine for my art supplies which includes solder and an iron. I have to say, I am already planning my next Trusco purchase. And who I can give one to for Christmas. Super cool.

Unexpectedly high quality
I was looking for a small box to hold my most commonly used tools. Most of the options I saw were plastic, and had simple plastic latches. I questioned how sturdy/reliable they'd be when filled with heavy tools. Then I noticed this Trusco tool box. It was the only one that was metal, and while it was about twice as expensive, it also had a solid metal draw latch. I saw some reviews that said it was Made in Japan, but since Amazon is unreliable about that kind of information, I figured it would be a bonus if it actually was. It arrived today and blew away my expectations. It is a very well made tool box. The steel feels sturdy and thick, and the hinges and latch operate smoothly. I had no worries about overloading the box, and it turns out that it actually is made in Japan. Overall, this reminds me of the type of tool box you'd find in your grandparent's workshop - simply made, but made well, with pride and quality. The blue paint even gives it a retro look and feel. All indications are I'll have this tool box for a long time to come.

Small steel products.
Surprisingly it is made pretty decent like the old school kind. Nice paint and I liked to see that it was made in Japan. I haven't seen products made from there in a long time, beside cars and electronics.

Toyo T-320 Perfect - Blue
Actually also bought a blue Toyo Y-350. They do look like they are coming from the same factory. Both were shipped box within a box with open ends. The Trusco came wrapped in plastic bag within the box. It is perfect. Sorry I repacked it for gifting already. The Toyo had no protective wrap. Paint and build quality is about equal though the Toyo has very faint dents. The metal is thin as others noted so I think they both will eventually have them. Think the Toyo may have been a return, but I’m keeping it. Will probably buy the Trusco version of the Y-350 next.

So Cool
This goes for all of these boxes from Trusco. They are just so undeniably cool in their three generations removed attitude and swagger. If you are of a certain age you looked at boxes like these, (rarely touch) on the shelves in your grandfather's garage, knowing he got them from his father. My wife started me with the big cantilevered box several years ago, and it has held up beautifully in my covered bed. So I added all of the smaller boxes and they are all spot on perfect. Just plain solid work that you can feel will last for years. You know the guy that worked on Steve McQueen's bikes had a box just like this one.

What a nice tool box this is!
Lovely and flawless electric blue metal flake paint job. Sturdy metal. Steel ammo box style handle. Latch and hinges work perfectly, the lid shuts tight with a fine fit. Made in Japan. What's not to like for around 20 bucks? I find it perfect sized for 1/4" drive and MM/SAE socket set with accessories and a screwdriver with a bit kit. You might have a different use for it but I bet you love it , I don't want to scratch it, it's very shiny! I will guarantee that I buy another box from Trusco.
