The quality of the materials are not reflected in the price. Made of very cheap composite board & covered in paper??? shelves There was a large wing nut (visible to secure the lamp in position. The legs were very poor quality timber. Worth about half the price.

I wasn't expecting solid wood, just quality simplicity, and this delivered. This is way better than a 'similar' one I bought and sent right back. I highly recommend as a nice looking and affordable lamp for small spaces. With small spaces it's also good to have the shelves built into the lamp and use vertical space. It was very easy to assemble and came with everything you need but a screwdriver. I find it sturdy considering the height, but I'd still recommend putting the heavier items on the bottom. This lamp is well made, usefully and elegant. It is easy to build and is sturdy.

the lighting that come from the diffuessed lamp is superb and completes my room well. the dark brown matches my coffee and end tables and the tackyness of the cable is able to be hidden pretty well and is definitely not a distraction from the beauty of it. the construction of it feels solid and tight throughout (had to finangle the shades a little was all ) but overall the shelf is pretty light and would be prone to being knocked over easily especially with how you attempt to balance stuff on the shelving. doing some post shopping comparisons of online prices this product seems to be on the low side of your average price for similar products. I would anticipate it to be difficult to find it much cheaper being brand new (shipped to your door) unless it is on sale at a local store. i almost spent more time taking plastic off and throwing the garbage away then putting it together (install with cleanup ~17 minutes total)

Attractive light, easy to assemble (you need a Philips head screw driver only), well packaged so no pieces were scratched in transit. Good quality for something you assemble yourself - pieces fit together neatly (and better than a cheap version I saw in a discount store). It's also nice that this comes in different colors to blend with your other furniture. This solved a problem for me - I needed a light and a flat surface in a place where there wasn't room for an end table. Diffuse light and uplight rather than a direct reading light, but does take up to 150w. Really happy with this purchase!!
