Just send it!
Easy to install. Took about 45 minutes. Truck sounds really good at idle and even better when I get on it with stock exhaust. Have seen fuel mileage yet because I’m heavy on the gas with the new sound. Kids like it too.

Sounds great
100% noticed increase in gas mileage. The sound it produces is great. Not obnoxious all the time. At constant travel speed its as quiet as stock but get on the gas and it has that great 5.0 deep growl. Couldn't be happier.

GREAT !but don't expect great things......
Ok, here's the scoop pull up a chair......... Install ~ Easy just take your time don't over tighten or strip screws easy peasy 25 mins MPG ~ I am sure it may have a positive effect as my MPG went from 17.8 to 18.2, HOWEVER... with the amazing throaty sound you get stomping on the pedal gas mileage will fall fast! Go easy it will save. Sound ~ WOW!!!!!! My 2013 F150 with the Coyote 5.0 really sounds awesome, get on the highway at 40-50mph and stomp it down and everyone in a 30 foot radius will look over and go WTF was that? LOVE IT!!!! HP ~ Haven't noticed anything but a little faster acceleration, nothing you will notice without a dyno tune! Price ~ Pricey, at almost $300 bucks I got the chrome pipe for looks, and for a pipe some gaskets and an air filter not sure I can say its worth the $$$.. Its your call, if you want your vehicle to sound and feel BAD ASS? Get it! if you want to save 1 mpg put $300 in your savings account instead :) In closing, I will say I Love it, and I feel it was worth it, heres a couple pics....

Great purchase!! As advertised!!
Great product!! Nice fit and finish. Air box upper and lower could be a better fit. It would be nice if K&N would figure out a better gasket material to seal that particular area. Easy install, just follow directions. It took me under 30 minutes outdoors in Northern Maine winter with hand tools. Remember to disconnect your neg. battery terminal, as your Ford truck will learn where it needs to be after the computer is cleared. As advertised, better throttle response, and less hesitation. The truck seems to pull harder at higher RPM, so definite horsepower gain!! The engine roars when you tramp on it!!! I love that sound! As far as mileage goes.... don't yet know, I haven't really driven that much since the installation.

What I was hoping for
I wanted some more sweet sound from the 5.0 but I didn't wanna do any non-reversible or expensive mods. I peeped this kit out and one of the reviewers said that it sounded good and loud enough that they no longer wanted an exhaust. I had to see for myself, so after installing it and driving around I can say the same thing. It sounds great in all the right ways. It's got a great tone when you get on it and shuts right up when you let off. At slight throttle it's like stock. Give it a little more though and you get nice sounds without having to tach it up too high. I love the characteristics. That being said, YMMV but really it's made for a specific range of trucks with one engine, so perhaps not really. Either way, I'm extremely happy and I'm pretty sure you'd be too if you're looking for the same thing. It's a lot less than exhaust work and I'm glad I went this route first.

2014 F150 XLT V8 fit great, MPG gained, louder than expected
Super easy to install and even with me getting on it to hear the v8 roar now I've gained 2.3 mpg even with bigger tires and leveling kit. I did have to contact K&N due to one of the pieces being the wrong one. I had to wait till the weekday to call due to no customer support on the weekends but the guy was super helpful and expedited it so the new piece took maybe 2 days to get her. Defintly reccomend but its louder than you think it would be.

1-Star Review: Beware – This Intake Cost Me Over $1,000 in Repairs
1-Star Review: Beware – This Intake Cost Me Over $1,000 in Repairs I’ve never written a negative review on Amazon before, but after the nightmare I’ve gone through, I felt obligated to share my experience — especially since this product has so many high ratings. I purchased this K&N cold air intake for my 2013 F-150 5.0L with only 115k miles, trusting the brand’s reputation and the claims of improved MPG and performance. I also took the opportunity to clean my throttle body during the install, since the intake was already off. After reassembly, I immediately started getting throttle body codes and “Check System AdvanceTrac” errors. On top of that, I lost 0.2 MPG instead of gaining any efficiency. Thinking I might have messed something up when cleaning the throttle body, I replaced it with a brand new OEM Motorcraft one — no change. So I figured the connector or wiring harness might be bad and replaced that too. Still the same issues. Codes kept coming back, and I lost traction control functionality. Eventually, I took it to a shop. They diagnosed the throttle body as faulty and replaced it with a Dorman unit with a lifetime warranty. The truck seemed “fine” for a while — but then, like clockwork, every few months the same throttle body codes would pop up again (P2111, P2110, and P2135), and the truck would enter limp mode while driving — three times this happened. Thankfully, I was able to safely pull over each time. After talking with a few techs at a local dealership, they mentioned having a nearly identical issue with a 2012 F-150. Their solution? Put the stock intake back on. Desperate, I dug mine out of the trash (literally the day after I tossed it), reinstalled it — and just like that, all my problems vanished. I've now spent over $1,000 trying to “fix” a throttle body issue that was never a problem to begin with. It was this $300 K&N cold air intake causing the entire thing. Bottom line: Do NOT buy this product. You won’t see noticeable gains in performance or MPG. At best, it makes your engine sound slightly better. If you're chasing sound, you're better off putting that money toward a cat-back exhaust. And if you care about MPG or performance, stick to routine maintenance. Nowhere in the description did it mention needing a tune for proper function — and had I known that, I never would’ve bought it in the first place. I honestly can’t believe how much time and money this thing cost me.

I like the throttle response and the growl under the hood after replacing the factory intake.

Install was super straight forward, getting the heatshield to seat in the factory air box was a little finicky but managed it. I see a lot of less then great reviews due to excessive noise, I mean it has some increase at high rpm or under load, but what get an open box air intake if your concerned about excessive noise? Kinda a dumb choice if you ask me. Iv got an aggressive exhaust system so I hardly notice it, nor would I care. Over all great system, high quality, definitely recommend it.

Easy install. Might be a bit more responsive but the power and torque figures are mostly BS. Loud as hell on my 5.0 v8 which caught me off guard a little bit but it sounds great.
