I’ve never used the official Dyson fluffy head, so I can’t compare it to that. However this one does work very well on hardwood floors. Picks up pieces of food with only the occasional minimal scattering of pieces. Not suitable fit carpets/rugs, except for surface cleaning.

The media could not be loaded.  I got this as a replacement after my Dyson head broke. It is very good for the price compared to a Dyson replacement. It was easy to attach and works with my Dyson with no problems. The only thing I find different is the pick up suction strength. I feel it's because the roller is solid and does not have the brushes or the open gap area like the Dyson roller does. I think the crushes help scoop or push up debris so the suction can pull it into the vacuum. Also, I think the open areas on the Dyson roller allows for more air flow around the roller giving it better suction. This roller is fat and he's no brushes or open area for air flow, making it less effective in suctioning up debris. My Dyson would suction up debris along baseboards or edges of furniture when I ran it along them, but this roller doesn't. Other than the weaker suction, I would recommend it. It is a good replacement for my broken roller at a good price.

Ok so it was not the cheapest of the replacement brushes for my V10. It had the most reviews and that is important. Here is mine. It works very well. I have 1 Maine Coon Cat.(which means by hardwood floor house looks like the desert south west with "hair" tumbleweeds" :). and this is awesome at sucking up the cat tumbleweeds. I also have 2 dogs that of course shed, and also 2 other short hair cats so I can vacuum daily. I wore out the motor of my v10 in 3 years and didn't feel like spending 119+ on a replacement brush cleaner so this almost 1/2 the price and if it lasts 3 years it will be fantastic.

I’m outside of my return window because I put it in a bin and forgot about it. Used it twice, maybe three times-the suction power is essentially nothing and in the head of the attachment, the cords cross every 5 seconds or so (you’re lucky to get 10 of straight vacuum use) before it just stops the cylinders from turning, but it will keep running as if nothing is wrong, so you have to stare at it, stop every few feet, readjust, and repeat until you just get angry and get it out of your sight because it can’t even complete ten seconds of the task it was made to do.

They have tried to make an useful attachment. However, it is not as effective.Water tank - it is just keeps dripping by design. Not very useful. A Hand spray would be better than this.Spin is slower than expected and does not do a satisfactory job on scrubbing.No wonder there is no such an attachment from Dyson.I would rather buy a electric product specifically built for this OR buy a manual spray and wipe mop.

Attachment won't connect correctly to spin.

The original that came with my V8 only lasted a year before literally falling apart. After seeing that a replacement is $100+ and the fact that it didn’t hold up at all I tried finding something more manageable. This one works fine and I like that I can actually take the roller out to clean it. It is definitely louder than the original but not too bad.

This 3rd party head with the fluffy roller was meant for hard flooring but worked surprisingly well on low pile carpet too! Using it on a v8 and have no issues navigating around with it. Will see how it holds up over time as I only got it less than a month.

I have a V10 Animal (with the newer style attachments) and this works and fits perfectly. Its obviously not a "Dyson" manufactured product but it is VERY well made - surprisingly so. I bought it because I watched a review on battery vacuums and the ones that did best on hardwood and tile etc had soft rollers. My V10 didn't have a soft roller head so I thought I would get one and didn't ant to spend all the money on a Dyson part. Anyway, super happy with this. It works very well! I would recommend for anyone who has lots of hard flooring to vac. Doesn't work as well on carpet but its not supposed to.

Seems to work great on hardwood. It takes a bit of getting used to because it is wiggley. The motion when using is not in a straight line. It easily veers off course.( Why I only gave it 4 stars) Have not tried it on carpet. The head (purple part) is quite soft and plush. No scraping on the floor which is why we got rid of the Dyson one.

It doesnt work the way they advertised.
