Microsoft Surface Pro Type Cover Belgian/Belgium AZERTY Backlit Alacantara Keyboard - Red, Compatible with Surface Pro 3/4/2017/5/6/7/7+

Bought this from the warehouse as it was an extremely cheap alternative to buying it new. Hadn’t actually realised it was an official MS keyboard so was more than pleasantly surprised to discover it was. Sadly, this model lacks the fingerprint reader function, but other than that, it’s a great keyboard if you have a surface pro. It has a decent backlight, which you can turn on, or off or if you want to preserve your tablets battery life. As with all the other MS keyboards, you simply let it magnetically attach to the base of the tablet and it’s good to go. No real setup required, though depending on where you live, you may have to tell the computer it’s a BE keyboard rather than say EN. Ignore the reviews complaining about keys being in the wrong position on the keyboard. Obviously, this has a Belgian layout, so if you touch type, it may take a short while to familiarise yourself with the layout. Alternatively, you can set it as a UK keyboard in windows settings and the buttons will mostly be in their normal location, though not all. Had this been full price, I wouldn’t have bought it, opting instead for an official UK keyboard, but if you are Belgian, or you can get it on a huge discount (as I did) then it’s a no brainer.

Keys in the wrong place but not only that, even if its AZERTY as it says on the box, you would expect to see A if you pressed A, but NO its a Q!! you press Z its W, you press W its a Z, you press M its ; list of the wrong keys goes on...can't be asked to second guess which key is which. This product will drive you nuts and wouldn't let you type what you want to. Useless product and I've asked for a refund.

Perfect fit for my Surface Pro7. Top quality Alcantara for a fraction of the original price. There’s a twitch tho: don’t forget to add/change the keyboard language in your keyboard settings other wise when you press “A” Will type “W” …unless your ok with using it like that if you are very used to your old typecover. Pro Tip: to quickly change the keyboard language press and hold the space barb

Unfortunately it turned out to be the wrong specification for the device. Retuned to Amazon and replaced this with the correct keyboard.

This keyboard was for Belgium use so i had to swap some of the keys with my old keyboard to make it work with UK set up. Its not obvious when ordering so be aware.

The keyboard arrived pretty fast, considering it came from another country. Other than that it was bought secondhand, the quality is really great, even though the listing said it was well used, but there wasn’t any physical or technical damage when it arrived. I highly recommend this seller.

DO NOT PURCHASE. The item sold was not as described. One of the key tabs had fallen off. I reported this to the seller and they told me to get lost and refused to take the faulty item back.
