Just buy it, critics be damned!
____________________________________________Disclaimer______________________________________________________ First let me say that I purchased this item from amazon and was in no way compensated by this company for this review. I have had dealings with their customer support and it is for that reason that even with the short coming of this item, they have received a 5 star rating. ___________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Ok, so I have seen some of the criticisms of this stand/holder and they range from complaints about the plastic to the stiffness, and or bounciness of this item. First: yes, it has plastic, if you don't want plastic, find another product that is going to cost you much more and provide none of the flexibility of this product. Second: Is the flexible part stiff and hard to shape... yes... but if it were not so then it would sag every time you used it. Third: is it bouncy... yes.. what do you expect? it is an ADJUSTABLE arm that can be put into most any shape withing reason. How it is that people would expect anything different is beyond comprehension. Fourth: Does it break... yes... anything will break if you apply to much force or in the case of this stand, at the base where the clamp is. This apparently is not common sense so people need to be told to not be overly aggressive with something at its weakest point. Rant over! I have had it for a couple of months now and here is my take on it, It is a nice item to have and once I played with it for a bit I found a shape (spiral) that best suited my use. It is a bit springy which makes touch screen a bit of a pain but it also allows us to use it in unconventional places where a normal stand type would not work. I originally purchased it for my iPad, unfortunately, the clamp is not deep enough to hold my iPad [ http://a.co/d/6SAqD3G ] in its protective case [ http://a.co/d/4vSKCrf ] because in the back of the case is a hand strap and kickstand. I then decided to see if it would work for my wife's Surface pro, and it did, so it currently resides on the headboard of our bed on my wife's side where she mounts the surface pro so she can watch videos with here headphones on instead of turning on the TV. The weight of the surface pro is not an issue and there is no sag. I shaped the arm into a spiral shape and pressed the rings closely together to minimize the springiness of it. While not perfect, it works extremely well, all my wife does is hold one corner of the tablet while using the touch screen with the other. I eventually got a follow up message from this company in regards to the item and whether or not I am happy with it. I explained the issue with my ipad case but that my wife uses it for her surface pro. They quickly got back to me and offered to take the item back for a full refund since it did not meet my needs. Now for those that complain about this product, I have only one question, did you contact customer support? I understand that there are going to be problem units, but I also know that people will complain just to complain. I wholly support putting information out about a bad product and have done so on occasion myself but I always add that the issue I had is based on one unit that I received and may not reflect the product as a whole. I have no complaints about this product or this company, I have purchased two products from them and have yet to see any of the issues others have complained about. Maybe i'm lucky but I think that it has more to do with managing expectations and not abusing the products. I highly recommend this product for two reasons, first, it is actually a very good product that is durable as long as you are not heavy handed when using it. Two, they have taken a page out of the amazon customer service handbook and made it better. Their customer service is amazingly responsive, professional and courteous. I would and will buy from this company again because I know that if the product is not up to my standards then they are willing to make things right within reason. A big thumbs up for a very cool product and the amazing customer service rep Kevin that deserves a raise for dealing with a difficult person like me. I hope this review helped Oh yeah, one last thing, the clip (that holds your table or phone depending on which one you get) uses a very strong spring which is needed to hold things in place. It is made of plastic which keeps the weight down and keeps the arm from sagging, this plastic will eventually break if you allow it to snap shut when you remove you phone or tablet. If you don't want it to break then use a little common sense and don't allow it to snap closed, that should be a no brainer but from looking at some of the reviews, apparently it needs to be said out loud.

Great aid for anyone with gripping issues, arthritis
positives - well made, sturdy/stiff goose-neck, easy on/off slider for tablet, large mounting clamp, many ways to adjust, versatile negatives - NONE i got my mom a kindle hd8 tablet All-New Fire HD 8 Tablet, 8" HD Display, Wi-Fi, 16 GB - Includes Special Offers, Black this last year. she has bad arthritis in her hands and even as light as the tablet is after no time her hands start to lock up and she has to put it down. i had tried a different style holder before but that didn't work out for her needs. so i thought to try this hoping for the best. that said I am the one who gets to put things together for her. the first thing i noticed was how stiff the goose-neck was. that is a very good thing for stability. granted it takes a bit to get it bent to where you want it but once done it will absolutely stay put. no slumping over, no brittle material, just the perfect material for this or any goose-neck. as for the table clamps they are actually large enough to do the job with confidence. the desk clamp can be placed vertically or horizontally depending on the edge you are to screw it down onto. the part which holds the tablet itself has a simple spring loaded slider mechanism. you just pull one side or the other out, put the tablet in and let go, held firmly in place. you can then adjust your tablet side to side and or back and forward to get the best viewing angle. so there you go. thankfully she is able to use this one and i'm happy to finally have one that works for her. fyi i have her use it with a folding table Winsome Wood TV Tray Set that she can put where ever she may be.

Good Stand, Little Too big for Fire Tablet 7
I bought this to use with the Amazon Fire Tablet 7 and the tablet is actually just a bit short of fitting the clamp horizontally. By that I mean viewing the tablet in landscape with the clamp arms on the top and bottom. This isn't an issue for me as I used a very thin piece of foam to make it grip the tablet firm enough for my use. Besides my use of this with the Fire Tablet 7 I have found that it also works great with the iPad Mini as well as the iPad Pro 9.7. The clamp and gooseneck are strong enough to hold the tablet in place very well and especially if you follow the instructions and loop the gooseneck. The gooseneck is appropriately stiff enough to hold its place under the weight of the iPad Pro 9.7. The clamp seems reasonably well made but I do wonder how long it will hold up to being used on a tablet as large as the iPad Pro 9.7. The gooseneck seems durable for the longterms and is easily the strongest part of this stand. The table clamp has been sturdy and although it is plastic, it does feel very strong. I was also impressed that it opens enough to attach to very thick tables of around 3 inches plus in width. The one issue that I don't think you can really get around with a gooseneck is that when you tap the touchscreen of the tablet, it will shake quite a bit. Regardless of whether or not you loop the gooseneck, it will bounce if you start tapping the screen and it can get a bit frustrating. If you lightly hold the tablet in place while you press it, then it is fine but if you're constantly tapping on the screen then you are better off just holding the tablet. If you wanted to just watch a video on it or maybe read a recipe then this stand would be great for it. While I don't have the Nintendo Switch I do plan on getting it and really see a benefit to using this stand with it. I didn't buy this for the switch and it wasn't even labelled as a product for the Switch when I bought it but it really can work well to stand it at better heights and angles while you hold the controllers. Also you can plug the USB C power chord into the Switch while it is in the stand thanks to cutouts on the clamp. This kind of stand might be a must have for the Nintendo Switch but I will share when I am able to use it with one. So far I really like it and thought the price was reasonable for what you get. I'll report back should this not hold up to the test of time and I will follow up with some pictures but for now I can recommend it for the price.

Product works great. Thick and rigid art that could hold my tablet and phone. Tablet is more steady with coil shape but it managed to hold my ipad pro 9.7 with only a little bit of sinkage (without coiling). I mostly use if for my phone however. The cradle is actually pretty nice and has different holes so you can plug headphones or chargers into it while it's held. And the mechanism feels reliable with a rotating head that isn't too loose. The instructions that come with it is also practical advice to avoid user inflicted damage (which I probably would have done). Overall, good product for the price. Definitely recommend.

I purchased this because I wanted to be able to watch Foxtel in bed comfortably and not have my iPad smack me in the face as I drift off to sleep. Could I pay the extra $ 25/month for another Foxtel box in my room ? Possibly. Am I too much of a tight ass to do that ? Definitely. So I though I’d try this little gadget out instead. I’m so glad I did ! As you can see from my photo, I have the Gooseneck Tablet Stand clamped to the edge of my bedside table and I’m able to get it to an angle where both my hubby and I can watch the iPad quite comfortably. The clamp feels very secure and it’s got rubbery bits along the inside so it won’t scratch your furniture. At this angle, when I touch my iPad the screen will wobble a bit but at no point does it feel like the iPads going to slide out, because the clamps holding it in place are spring loaded. The actual “gooseneck is bendable but still quite stiff - which of course, it needs to be in order for it not to sag under the weight of your iPad. Was it worth the $ 25 I paid for it ? Yes, absolutely. To be fair I could have paid twice that price at the shops and still been happy with my purchase. What about the seller ? Fantastic service. Paid for it Monday, received it Wednesday, carefully packaged with simple instructions. Would I buy it again ? For sure ! Would make a handy Christmas gift for anyone who enjoys watching movies or Tv in bed, or just for a tight ass like me who doesn’t want to part with $ 25 extra bucks a month for another Foxtel box. Two thumbs up 👍🏽 👍🏽
