Liquid Flow Switch, Flow Detector 3/4" MPT, Normally Open

I hooked this up and turned on the water and the switch did not close. Then, when I turned the water off, the switch continuity engaged and would not disengage. Unfortunately this was a waste of money.

Older versions wore out the internal mechanish, basically a nylon shuttle valve that would close or open the switch.New version paddle also less likely to get gummed up by tannins in water, which would seize up the older model's shuttle valve

I purchased this switch a while ago for a project. I installed the switch last week. Yesterday I saw that the light activated by a relay when the switch is closed was on for hours and hours. I checked it with the continuity setting on the meter and it was closed...it should only be on when the sump pump is running and that would be for a 4 minute duration. I looked in the pipe and the paddle was in the correct upstream parked position but the circuit was still showing closed. Not very happy for using it for a week. I will contact the manufacturer and see if they will send me a replacement, fingers crossed. This switch was perfect for what I wanted to build, sad to see others having problems with theirs too................

required flow rate was too high for my application. Didnt see this listed in the item description, only discovered after the fact by reading the questions.

This is my second switch. The first was delivered stuck in the closed position. Got it replaced at no cost. The second lasted a little over a month and then also got stuck in the closed position.

We used this flow switch for our baptistry . This is a low flow an no pressure system so this worked great. This is used to turn off heaters if pump goes down or flow stops.

Switch doesn't open when no flow pump keeps running and running

Excellent product, but the paddle needs a little trim to fit in a regular T-fitting. It's easy to do with some side cutters or a similar tool.
