Very good meat. Tastes good and great shelf life too. I was only disappointed that one can was dented, although packaged really well. So I can't use it and it's a no refund policy. But it is a good product. Highly recommend

Essential item on my emergency shelf. Fat and meat juices separate in the can, but remix easily when heated. Beef is good in spaghetti, gravy, casseroles, etc.

You know, when we bought this for the first time I was hesitant. But after receiving that order, we instinctively bought a larger amount. Then we ordered 2 (10) packs in succession. And you know I got curious as to where it was coming from, so I plugged in the mailing address for the company and google earthed the place. I looked at where sales was from and I can't tell you how pleased I was to see where it packed and shipped from! Good old American entrepreneurial and make a honest buck was what I saw. I couldn't be happier for someone to make a little money and help out the economy in the process. Isn't that what being American is all about? And as to the taste and value of the meat; it's very tasty and in the process fills our needs, everyone is happy! Thanks again, and I would recommend highly the product and the seller. They pack well and deliver every time.

If you like the beef meat mixture Taco Bell uses for tacos, burritos, etc., you've struck gold!! I was skeptical of this product because well...it's MEAT...in a CAN. Thankfully, I was pleasantly surprised. First, when you open the can, you'll notice what seems to be half a can full of lard with a big clump of meat floating in liquid - kinda scary looking. But don't be daunted!! It's obviously a plan devised by the Fresh Beef Council to make consumers run back to them for all of their beefy needs!! (Yes, I think EVERYTHING is a conspiracy, but that's another topic for another day) Now, back to the beef at hand. The first thing you'll want to do is drain the liquid. I'm not quite sure if it's water or broth, but I know it's there for the sake of preservation, and it is not needed in the cooking process. The rest is a snap! After draining, I heated the skillet (with no oil) and added the meat to the skillet (minus some of the lard) to heat it through, breaking up the clumps along the way. There was enough fat content in the meat to create the perfect "simmering" situation, so there really wasn't much left to do except season, serve and enjoy!! But, be careful when adding salt. Even though it doesn't taste salty, there is a lot of sodium in it, and the additional use of salt may be harsh on people with hypertension (high blood pressure) such as myself. It doesn't automatically taste like Taco Bell meat, but it absolutely will IF you use 1 packet of the McCormick Hot Taco seasoning** and 1/2 cup water (instead of the 3/4 cup indicated on the packet) My days of the Taco Bell drive thru are now over! All I have to do is go to my pantry!! Great for camping, last minute meal planning or whenever you're in the mood for "no fuss" dining. I would (and will) recommend this product to friends and family!(**From experience, the actual Taco Bell taco seasoning doesn't taste like Taco Bell, so I stand by to the McCormick taco seasoning recommendation)

This is a great product if you want to store shelf stable meats but don't have time to pressure can yourself. Not as good as my own fresh pressure canned meats only reason I put it at a 3 star. Also for those not used to using canned meats it can be a bit of a taste difference. I recommend you try it and make your own decision. I WILL BUY MORE! Very convenient product, just a bit on price
