A big helper
I used this to raise a sheet of 3/4 in plywood that is used like an overhead door. It works perfect ! I can raise the door with one finger using this.

Operation: The big ass nut, 14 mm, decreases or increases the tension. There are 3 set screws, 3/32 SAE, located at 120 degree locations that set the length allowable. There is a thing in the middle that disable the spring balancer. Cons: -The wire constantly gets caught in between the housing, you have to pull wire back out to release. If it's caught really bad, which could happen because it doesn't have a autostop mechanism, you have to go in with some pliers or pull really hard to unwind the wire back out. -No autostop
