Solid tool with features and flexibility
Just rec'd my new Bucktool Belt Disc Sander. It was packaged well and delivered on time. I've only had a brief time to play with this new tool but it appears to be well built. The direct drive feature is why I selected this sander, so I don't have to deal with broken belts, etc. Set up was simple. It has guide fences for both the belt and disc so you can adjust the sanding angles up to 45 degrees. They are light duty and won't withstand a lot of pressure or force but for light work that I will be doing its acceptable. The packaging says 5.0 amp, 3/4hp which doesn't exactly make sense. 5.0 amp is more closely related to 1/3hp, but it seems to have plenty of power. Can't wait to put it to work.

Quality for the money
Ok I’ve used it two times now and I have no problem. I’ve seen the other reviews good and bad and in my opinion this is a great sander lots of power , a very stable and heavy sander compared too others I’ve looked at. My only complaint is the vacuum ports are too small I have a shop vac. Like many others, trying to fit that is going to be a problem but I’ll over come that. I would recommend this sander. Only one more thing the shipping box is good double box & staryfoam now if you can get the delivery company to not drop it or man handle it you would have a winner.

Happy With Purchase
This is the first belt/disc sander I have owned. I have used the belt sander a couple of times and it works great. I took one star away because the dust ports on the belt and on the disc are different sizes. The unit came with an adapter but it only fits on the disc collector port. I don't own a lot of dust creating tools but having different size ports on one tool seems odd. The port on the belt sander is on the side, but shown on the end in the images. It makes more sense to be on the side so that is a plus. The disc sander did not come with a safety cover. A safety cover was not shown in the item description, but it might be a good to have item.

Great value, great sander
Great value. This is a very nice sander vs. The cost. The only thing I wish it had was hoop and loop on the disk but, that was easily rectified. Recommend.

Very powerful, compact, quiet, looks very well made.
I only used it for 3 minutes, and it will be used for thousand of hours or more. Love this sander. Has equivalent power of the 1.5 HP 6x48 belt sander we have at work. I purchased this 4x36 belt sander because its for personal use at home. Its quiet and very powerful. Will be using this alot. From what it used it for, i would give it 10 stars. Very well built, powerful and compact easy to use, put together in 2 minutes Thank you Bucktool.

6 inch wheel is better than dewalt 4 inch wheel
Look on the internet at this unit and you will find it’s in the top 10 of best sanders. It’s better than comparable dewalt unit. The dewalt unit is 299.00 This unit is a 6 inch wheel sander and a dewalt is only 4. This unit is a great buy. Do your homework researching this unit on the internet. Buy one as they are a great general use unit.

Great belt sander for amateur builders. Easy to put the attachments on. And easy to adjust. Switching belts was also pretty straight forward. The dial to adjust the belt position makes it simple to keep the belt alignment. I would rate this 5* as it is a workhorse but if I spent more money I would have expected some refinements. Overall happy with the products. Cons. The adjustable tables don’t always stay at the set degree. So I’ve had to make sure they were in the right position multiple times throughout my sanding project. Sadly this messed up 2 pieces I was working on. So now I check to make sure the angle is where I need it. Also don’t trust the guides. They are just screwed on, and move around. The dust collection is a little awkward but not sure what else could be done.

Shopped around a lot for one of these. I use them in my shop for cutting board sides. For the money I am very impressed. Build quality and appearance are very solid and old school. Power is very good. Only critique I have is the belt bend angle adjustment is not as easy as others. I would give this a strong 4/5. Buy it
