I bought this product because the brush I had before had broken. Let me start by saying that the packaging was great and the brush came perfectly. Nothing was broken during or after shipping. This brush comes with a convenient wall hook that has 3M tape on the back for easy installation onto a wall tile or hard surface. It holds the brush very well. It has held up for 2 hot showers so far after installation. The brush is constructed of hard wood for the handle, feeling very sturdy on the hand. The rubber grips do nothing for me, they still feel slippery in the shower but I disregarded it as the wood is grippy too, depending on your hands: everyone has different hand grips. People who cannot carry heavy items (such as with arthritis patients) might have trouble holding this brush. The brush has two sides: a soft side, and a hard side. The soft side does nothing for me. All I feel is the bristles sliding on my skin rather than actually cleaning anything. The hard side however, was really, really pleasant! Works great with bar soap, just rub it on the bristles and rub it wherever you want to brush away dead skin or exfoliate. I don't expect this brush to swell up with time, but I do recommend users keep it in a well-lit open area away from the dark for mold prevention and optimum dry time. It's a simple two-sided brush, but it does a lot for cleaning your back and hard to reach places. I recommend this brush to all who read my review!

Better than what I was using.

This brush is extremely rough. I tried to clean my arms and legs with it and it was just too rough for me so I only use it on my back. And even on my back I can only use the softer side of it because the other side feels like it would rip my skin off. I've had several other bath brushes before and never had that problem. That being said, it does do an excellent job of cleaning my back and since that was the main function that I bought it for, I continue to use it. But I would not buy it again.

As a pasty white person, I'm new to exfoliation--especially as I enter middle age. We had washcloths as kids, but honestly, I never understood the point. I started with exfoliating my scalp with one of those silicone brush things (recommend), and then moved on to Dove's exfoliating scrub for legs and arms and such (also recommend, actually). But holy .... moly, this was a game-changer. Between this and moisturizers, my skin seems totally new and better. I am ignorant no longer. Exfoliate and don't spend a ton of money doing it! (I have a smallish shower stall, so I wish the handle was a teensy shorter, but I'm also petite, so, judge as you will.)

Very good quality back brush. One side is soft the other side is hard.

Love this brush. Love that it is all one piece. The ones I have had in the past are two piece and the top always falls off in the shower. This is durable and seems like it will last long.
