Mini USB - Micro USB converter
I ordered this to charge and run a PS3 motion controller. I am flooded with micro usb cables, but not enough mini usb cables (at least not when you want them). This connector serves the purpose. It acts as a converter cable so I can use existing cables already plugged to the wall. Also helps by reducing wire clutter around media unit.Connection works well and does not wobble. Both power and data flow are working for me. Also, I got the unit I ordered - I saw a few reviews where people got wrong cables.

Know what you need before you order something.
When the product arrived I thought that it would work for my needs, but it didn't. I bought this cable thinking that it would solve my problem. I have a Sony NEX 7 which uses a traditional USB input and about a year ago I bought a Shutterboss II thinking that it would be able to connect to my camera, but the Shutterboss had a newer USB connector. So I was looking for a cable that could make the connection between the two and it couldn't. the Shutterboss II cable would not fully enter the USB Mini B end so no connection could be made between the devices. Maybe someone could recommend another way to make this connection.

Convert Micro to Mini USB
I recently received from some electronic products from China, that required a mini USB power cord, rather than a micro USB power port. This cord allowed me to adapt the micro USB to the mini USB, thereby allowing me to operate the product. The cord was well-made, and suited my needs

Works for data transfer!
Works as a date cable. I haven't tried to charge anything with it, but I needed a data cable adapter for an old digital camera, and this one worked. The micro female side is a little shallow; my micro SD cable doesn't seat all the way into the port. But it works.

Works
The other splitter cable I had was defective, so I could not check the functionality of this. It did fir the sockets, O.K. I'm sure it will work.

Should fit more snugly.
I ordered this to use for charging my satellite phone (Iridium 9575) from portable solar panel as my phone charges from an old school mini usb. Only used once but worked. Only 4 stars because it fits too loosely, and don't know about reliability.

A cable either works or it doesn't. This one worked. Not much of a review but what can you say about a cable?
