1. Size 1 is generally used for PRE-CHILDBIRTH and size 2 is generally for POST-CHILDBIRTH or over the age of 30. It has more to do with how "strechy" you are. 2. There is a learning curve the first month or two. Any menstrual cup you use requires getting familiar with your anatomy and can be tricky till you figure it out. We have two things to help with that... a. We have included irrigation bottles so you can remove it, clean everything, rinse the cup and reinsert. This eliminates "the mess". b. The stem on the menstrual cup can be trimmed to a length you desire. We STRONGLY recommend you DO NOT cut it until you have used it for a few months. It may feel "too long" the first few times but be patient. Once you figure out the right positioning then you may be grateful you didn't cut it. 3. When removing the menstrual cup 1. break the seal inside BEFORE you removal 2. fold the cup the best you can before removal. 4. Menstrual cups DO NOT go in as high as tampons. They should sit just inside the vagina. Upon insertion it is crucial that you TWIST the cup to create a good seal against your body. 5. IUD or Tilted Uterus Concerns: IUD's sit VERY HIGH in the uterus and the menstrual cups should sit in the base of the vagina. The pad set contains 6 reusable pads that are made from soft, water-resistant material on the wings and with a bamboo pad and a charcoal liner for ultimate absorbency. This set has five 2 ply 8-inch pads and one 4 ply 10-inch pad for heavy flow and overnight use. The pads snap together (which you do not feel when wearing them) around a set of underwear.
