Purchased these not being really sure based on the mixed reviews that we were seeing from different on line sites. However, they were in stock and ready for delivery so I tried them. These have been one of the BEST purchases that we have made for our new patio that we are setting up. Fantastic sound quality from mids, highs and bass. We listen to all styles of music and no one in the family has been disappointed from the sound quality. We also get a great distance from the Bluetooth, it is better then they advertise. However I know that is based on your environment and devices that you are connecting with Bluetooth. We will not complain because it gets us all over our back yard with no issues and we have a very large backyard with woods. The one thing that we do not like about the system was not having a power option to turn on and off with them mounted so high up and not able to reach the power switch on the back of the main unit without a ladder. So to correct this we purchased a Smart plug and connected it to the power line and Wi-Fi in the attic and added it into the rest of the smart devices that we have in our home and through our devices or voice we can turn the power on and off. Installation was very simple and easy. Have a power source in the attic space for main unit. Run the companion speaker wire over and connect on both ends. Turn power on and connect device(s) via Bluetooth. The model that we have also has an 1/8" (3.5mm) connection for a direct audio source giving a better sound then Bluetooth. We tried it but do not like wires being visible so left this feature disconnected and using Bluetooth for sole source of audio. Connection from devices? We have had NO issues connecting any device that we have tried to connect. Laptops (PC/Mac), Desktop from our kitchen (PC), Samsung devices, Chrome devices or iPhones. Every device we have tried to connect connects right up and no issues! Build quality is very good! Weather resistant? They say they are Marine grade, water proof construction and rustproof speaker grills. Water gets to stuff so I have mounted them in an area so they will not have direct weather/water contact. So we will see over time. Would we buy these again? Definitely, we will be getting some for a family member's pool house this year! Photo - We will post a photo once our patio is completed

This is my second set. They look and sound great! They are also a Bluetooth upgrade as well. They connect easily to to anything designed to transmit via Bluetooth from HDTV's to Cell Phones. The audio quality is also exceptional for an exterior speaker. They are a great buy! (This first set lasted just over two-years and pre-maturely failed because they were exposed to direct weather AND were mounted sideways under our Pergola. This allowed for rain water to stand around the speaker wire terminals. Had they been covered or mounted vertically, the other set would probably still be working great. I since have installed a protective cover over the speakers so these new ones don't suffer the same fate.)

Pretty good for the price. I was hoping they’d be louder but the wife says they are loud. They are heavy duty . They preform pretty good. The clarity is good and crisp. I wish it had more bass but maybe it’s just because the are in a big open space since I have them over the pool.

These are high quality speakers that sound great. They are larger than I imagined, which I suppose could be good or bad, depending upon the intended space for installation. They are a bit intrusive looking so if you are hoping that they will "disappear" into space you put them in, think again. They are also pretty heavy so installation under the roof overhang was a bit more challenging than I thought it would be, but I was working alone. It would have been ideal to have someone to hold the speaker while I did the final installation. But the brackets it comes with made the job otherwise pretty easy. I installed the brackets first of course and then placed the speakers in them. My installation was about 15 feet above ground level so there was a little bit of treacherous ladder work involved. None of that was unexpected or too terrible. In the end, I would recommend these speakers for excellent sound quality, good volume level and reasonably easy installation. Esthetics are decent but a smaller size with the same sound quality would have been ideal. Connects very easily to Bluetooth every time without fail. With my installation, you can't turn the speaker off without a ladder so I unplug it when not in use as the outlet is at ground level.

Safety alert as much as anything here... I purchased this wireless speaker in later April 2024. I installed the speakers finally after about 3+ months of backyard renovations. They worked just fine (I'd give them like a 7 out of 10 on sound) for about the 2 weeks and then just stopped. I followed several of the troubleshooting ideas but no luck. No indicator light on the speaker unit at all. Waited a couple days and I tried again. I unplugged/replugged the electricity, and the black box on the cord blew up about 5 seconds later. (picture of the aftermath is attached) I am glad I was not standing or looking closely at it because it was somewhat violent to be honest. I perhaps should have recognized the lackluster return policy of only 30days on Amazon and just bought it when I was ready, but too late now. I have only used the product for <3 weeks. Now, on to the customer service: Sent message on Pyle website. Got response after 2 weeks. Rep (bot?) emailed back asking for pictures and documentation. Multiple follow ups have gone unanswered. I logged an incident report on the to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC). And now this review. I guess it's cheaper to lose a few future customers from bad reviews than it is to pay an extra customer service rep. Just remember to wear your protective eyewear while you are listening, I guess.

After 1 year of use at a Condo Community Pool, these speakers are loved by all. Maybe not the closest neighbors, as they do play loud! Good sound and every type of phone, tablet, or laptop have been able to connect perfectly. Seems Apple devices ask for the default password of 0000 and Android devices simply connect automatically. We have 140 units, so that's a lot of devices! They are left powered on 24/7 but unplugged from the power during winter months. Beware! - the connection chime is at FULL VOLUME! and that surprises everyone.

I purchased these on July 23, 2021, but am only leaving a review now on August 10, 2022. I've had them for just over a year. The speakers have been fantastic and in my opinion sound great. We installed these on 4x4 posts cut very low to the ground (bottom of the speaker sits about 4" or 5" off the ground), mounted low and a few feet from the edge of our pool. They are at ear level when inside the pool. Unfortunately, the Bluetooth functionality began to fail about three weeks ago and finally failed completely this past weekend. I had registered for the 3-month extended warranty after purchasing the speakers, but I never received a confirmation and I never bothered to follow up (my mistake). I've reached out to Pyle through their website. Waiting on a response. Will revise my rating appropriately based on how responsive they are and whether they resolve the issue. I paid for them with my Chase Amazon Prime Visa, so if Pyle does not come through, my Amazon Prime Visa automatically extends the warranty coverage for an additional year. Just a lengthier warranty process I'd rather avoid if Pyle can come through for me. Either way, I'll get this fixed and will definitely purchase another pair. By the way, we liked these so much, that we bought a second pair for our outdoor fireplace. Those get much less use, but are still working well. Highly recommended despite the failure I experienced. Hopefully it is a one-off. I have not read others' reviews, so I don't know if this is a common occurrence or not.

Been doing a lot of research trying to find a good set of weatherproof deck speakers that didn't need a receiver/amplifier. After reading a lot of reviews I went with these and have no regrets! Did a quick sound test in my living room off just my phone and these things BOOM when you crank up the volume. Assembly on the mount was simple and there's nice locking nuts for the speaker wire so once it's in there's no worry of it slipping out. For mounting you just need a 1/4" drill bit for the screw and housing along with a phillips head screwdriver, two holes, easy as can be. Sound travels farther than expected without getting mudding so very impressed with these as an outdoor set. You're not going to get any shaking bass out of these but for wall mounted speakers you really wouldn't want them to shake anyway. My only suggestion would be to get a nice weatherproof extension cord and hide the power block behind the active speaker (I worry about direct sun frying the black plastic.) Other than that though these are worth every penny highly recommend!
