Tower T838005G Sensor Bin with Retainer Ring, Battery-Operated, 50L, Grey

Happy with this bin. Good capacity and nice and smart. Matches my grey kitchen well. The sensor does time out a bit too quickly when scraping into the bin but not a major problem.

Almost 8 months later it's getting to the point where I just about need to change the batteries, and we use this bin A LOT. Sometimes it's a bit keen to close but once you get familiar with it's behaviour you'll get the hang of it. My only real criticism is that I've gotten so used to it that I often stand by the laundry bim waiting for it to open only to be disappointed.

This werent a bad product, it just didnt suit the way I use my kitchen. The sensor is at short range and is completely horizontal/frontal, it doesnt sense anything from a diagonal angle at all, so wouldnt work when reaching over to put something in, or emptying a long armed dustpan for e.g. you have to be stood RIGHT infront of it for it to open and there is no manual back up button like some of the other brands. Tested it for a day before sending it back. Given it 4 stars as its a nice bin, just wouldnt work for me personally. If you have a large kitchen where you have to walk over to your bin area anyway, this would be perfect. Good size, good VfM

I’m really happy with this tower sensor bin. It arrived quickly and was very well packaged. The setup was simple and straightforward, and it looks sleek and modern in my kitchen. I’ve tried everything with this bin I received today, but after a few minutes, the sensor just stops picking up motion and the lid doesn’t open. I turn it off and on again, and it’ll work for a few minutes, then stop. I’ve given it new batteries, ensured the film is peeled off the sensor, and yet it’s still refusing to work after a few minutes of being switched off and on again. Truly frustrating as I had high hopes due to the reviews. Give this one a miss.

This is a good quality bin with a lid that lifts very well. Batteries last very well too. It is a good size and well though out. It's a little bit of a faff putting the bin liner collar in, bt once you're used to it, it's easy and means you don't have the top of the bin liner hanging out of the bin. As a result, the bin maintains it's attractive lines and is very easy to keep clean.

Generally happy with the product, mechanism works well, the bin is lightweigh, but it came with two areas which were discoloured.

Very good I made things before my sons are using this one still works good. I’ll prefer the ones you can charge up from the mains or can use batteries. This one only battery operate.
