Aoshima Airwolf 1/48 Scale Metallic Black diecast Model

I've wanted one of these for a while and was not disappointed. It was metal. Prior posts stated they got a plastic one. This particular one from Aoshima is a good quality die-cast. Two tripple A batteries are required, if not placed in correctly then the propellers may not work. It can be touchy, if they stop a gentle tap on the bottom gets em going again. As with any die-cast, the extra parts are delicate. I'm an 80's kid and used to play with the Ertl one while anxiously waiting for the next new episode to come on. This brought back some good memories. I found myself making Airwolf sounds and flying it around the room. All they need to do is come out with an HX-1 and a Redwolf and its battle time.

I have a Cobalt blue one from the mid 2000's with no issues, this new one in black is exactly the same as my blue one but I had to take plyers to get the engine to spin the blades and the top rotor. Main blade is not a tight fit on the shaft. Very loose, which I can fix.

Was expecting a die cast collectible, but was a plastic do it yourself model. They did refund with ease.

I had to return it, due to the fact the props did not work. Also, this is not made of metal but plastic......... so I thought it was a little overpriced (I should have read the description). I did not have any problem returning this item and received my refund quickly.

First, postal delay is amazing. 48 hours from USA to my home in France throught Germany, is a record for me. Great! And so Airwolf. Impressive. So much details, very cool, very real, all work fine. Very very happy. And it's less expensive to import from USA than from Japan. What else?

This model is awesome !!! I was so happy when I realized that this model was the same scale as the model I tried to build years ago.

Received this a day earlier than expected. Nice details, love the options of either displaying or not displaying the weapons. Overall I highly recommend it if you are an Airwolf fan.
