Good quality product and more robust/adjustable than the type that are a plastic roller on a spring. More substantial than I was expecting - the roller ball is bigger than a standard marble (if these still exist!). The photos on the website suggest you can get away without a chisel but even for a basic fitting you'll need to countersink the non-ball side and for a neat job, or if the door hasn't got a substantial gap between it and the frame, you'll need to countersink (rebate?) the rectangular pieces on both sides. I was very happy with the result - which was on a substantial door. It wouldn't hold a front door in a heavy breeze but wouldn't be far off

Very nice pair of ball door catches. A good point to make is that you can make minor adjustments to the protrusion of the ball which helps with the fitting. Having fitted two of these I would definitely recommend using your own screws as the ones supplied are a very poor quality and the head snaps off when screwing into wood (which is a pain as you end up with a broken screw in the location where you want to screw in). If you have your own gold/brass coloured screws then it is a good item to buy. If it weren't for the screws I would have given it 5 stars.

I found these easy to fit, well finished, neat in appearance and they work a treat! Used to replace some old locks which never worked properly. I'm going to buy more... Noting some other reviews, I didn't use the screws provided but fortunately found some in my "collection": it does seem, these days, it's best to be wary of the screws provided with any hardware, wherever you buy it!

I ordered 2 packs of these, a couple work well but 2 have ceased up with use and I now can't adjust them, they also need adjusting regularly which isn't a huge problem if they work ok

These along with new lock's for my garden gates are working perfectly I don't need to lock the gates behind me these keep them closed and you can just them sometimes due to the weather the wood on the gates can swell witch makes opening and closing the gates harder .

Habe den Schnäpper in die Balkontür eingebaut und funktioniert total gut. War sehr leicht zu montieren und ist sehr kraftvoll. Würde den Schnäpper jederzeit weiterempfehlen.

Fácil montaje y regulación de la tensión de la esfera. Debería tener la carcasa un poco más de medida para que confrontara con los pestillos normalizados. Buen producto.
