Starbucks Caramel Syrup (1-L.)

Nah, the search isn't really over yet. It's too much fun to try the different syrups out there! There are some with labels that will make your friends think you've fallen off the wagon. Others look like elixirs found atop a misty mountain guarded by a witch. Some brag about this or that as if they're saving the world. But it's just syrup. I hate to say it, but this one's very good. After trying nearly a dozen brands, it's the best one yet. This, of course, is no reason to give up my hobby of taste testing! I've already selected a couple more labels I haven't tried yet. But this one goes to the top shelf for flavor. It's fantastic. I'll be testing it further throughout the day. Quick shipping (I ordered it yesterday), no issues with quality, plastic bottle with a non-removable "expire date" sticker on it (use alcohol to get this bugger off), and the bottom line: good tasting syrup. Highly recommended.

Yum! Just made my first cold brew & this syrup was perfect. A bit expensive but the flavor is worth it. Large bottle. A bit sweet, but it is syrup. You don’t need much to get a great flavor.

I did not open the Amazon box for a couple of hours after it arrived. When I did, I noted a small amount of syrup had leaked out. It had obviously not been leaking long because there was so little on the packing. I pulled the (plastic) bottle out, rinsed it off, and checked the cap. I was tight. I left the bottle on the kitchen counter while I took the box out to the trash. When I returned, there was a very small amount of syrup underneath the bottle. I thought maybe I hadn't dried it completely after rinsing. I rinsed it and and sat it in a bowl. After a few hours, more syrup. I emptied the contents of the bottle into another container and checked the bottle again. Still could find no evidence of a crack, etc. So, while the syrup deserves 5 stars, the bottle should get 0 !!

I used to work at Starbucks and the Carmel syrup did not smell or taste like this one does. I had family over for dinner last night and decided to make some lattes. I opened the Carmel syrup for the first time and noticed it had a horrible scent of alcohol. Similar to tequila. I figured it was just me.. so I made 3 lattes and when I tasted it, I immediately wanted to throw up. It tastes like you’re drinking straight tequila. I tried it again this morning, thinking maybe I just used to much.. but again once I smelled it and tasted it I was immediately sick to my stomach. My sister and family agreed. I tried returning on amazon so I can let them know that there is something wrong with this product, but it is not eligible for returns.

This is my second bottle I’ve purchased, my most recent one was purchased in November. Today I realized it was expired before I even bought it. Unfortunately I’m just out of the timeline to return it. So check the date when it arrives!
