Imagine the best deep tissue massage you ever received. It was probably really expensive, but left you feeling like a million bucks. You wish you could get one every day. You had less nagging pain, and could do more of the hard training you love. That is, until the nagging overuse injuries and tight muscles came back and you were out of budget to go see the massage therapist again. If you were smart you developed a self-maintenance routine using foam rollers, massage sticks, and balls. If you are like most serious athletes you likely tried many different rollers and eventually found that none of them were enough. You built up a tolerance and nothing worked close to as good as the sessions with your therapist. Maybe you never get massages and are trying to find the next best thing. Similar to you, the inventor of the Recoveroller, started on solid foam rollers. Moved on to rolling on PVC pipe, and finally every premium roller like Rumble Roller and Trigger Point the Grid, trying to find something that got deeper. All textured and knobbed foam rollers used foam that compressed under his bodyweight or had a very erratic feeling to them. Using his exercise science and personal training background, John began to experiment with putting different textures on a solid core roller. His design works with the natural orientation of your muscle fibers and concentrates pressure deep into trigger points and bound fascia better than random pattern knob covered foam rollers. At expos our most common reactions are: 1) wow this is amazing, I have to have one! or 2) wow this is almost too intense. If you want a deep tissue massage that hurts so good and with never lose its effectiveness than you need the Recoveroller – it’s the last foam roller you’ll ever have to buy. Expect less soreness, more efficient movement, improved mobility, and flexibility. Not to mention our 10 and 18 inch lengths are travel friendly.

I highly recommend this product.
I like this product as much as I expected. I was especially surprised at the quality of the surface material and the stitches. This roller is a bit heavy but soft and nice. I had other items but I was looking for something with no cushions and ruggedness. This item is just right. When I massage, the protruding part sends me to heaven. I highly recommend this product.

like many people here
For the record, I, like many people here, got this product at a discount in exchange for an honest review of the product. This is a good roller. The ridging on it really helps for a good aggressive roll out and will really dig into any of those sore muscles when needed. When using this on my back, it's really helped give a needed adjustment. It's very sturdy, and the leather on the outside is nice. This can be a little more aggressive than most of the other rollers on the market, so be prepared. The 18" roller fits perfectly into my gym duffle bag, which is a plus. The only thing I will slightly ding it on is the stitching, and this may just be with my individual product. It's a very wide, single line zig-zag on one side. It feels like if I accidentally snag this, the whole thing will come unraveled. The stitching was sloppy and uneven on the other side. It was a bit crooked, and it looks like someone went back over it with another pass with the machine. I can appreciate the reinforcement, but it is a little messy. Perhaps either a slightly thicker threading or a more reinforced stitching?Overall, this is a great product. I had two of the coaches at my gym test this out, and they agreed that it's a great product that will more than do the job. I would highly recommend this.

Great item. The ridges allow for more specific targeting that most other rollers do not, especially the shoulder girdle and erector spinae for me. The quality is top-notch, solidly built and it doesn't seem like it'll get dirty easily like other types of rollers. I got the 18-inch version, which fits in my gym bag easily. The product dimensions are perfect for me, and let me control my rolling sessions comfortably and efficiently.

Highly recommended.
This is one of the best rollers I've used. It's rigid enough to really hit those trigger points in my back and get deep into quads and hamstrings. Highly recommended.
