5 star product
As a first timer in refinishing my honey oak cabinets, watching the product video on YouTube, I felt confident enough to do it myselfDidn’t take long to do just follow the instructions and apply to your desire look, my bathroom cabinet turned out beautiful I love the color added 2 coats of this stain! No odor!Would highly recommend.

Gorgeous High Quality Stain
I love Amy Howard’s products. Top notch and top results. Added benefit is not having the odor like most paints. Her products are a staple in my diy projects.

Excellent Stain
The stain had no smell, very easy to work with, supper easy clean up, and produced a great finish. This product makes staining a breeze, plus it looks great.

all the wood items at my place are now the same shade!
easiest solution to having unmatching shades of wood throughout the home. was able to paint over 3 tables, 2 chairs and an entire bed frame with this thing. smells neutral and stays on! really good finish even for someone who can barely do art or paint things.

Unfinished wood versus already stained wood application
The media could not be loaded. With this hutch are used to Kona gel stain on the top , and Amy Howard on the drawers that have all the detailing. This worked great since I didn’t have to sand any of the carvings on the doors. I just use the glaze to match the top everything dry perfectly, and worked very well. I just wouldn’t recommend using the Amy Howard glaze on unfinished wood as I tried, and it never did dry could just be the way I was doing it I don’t know but I’m just sharing my experience.

I would lightly sand first
Even though you can use the gel stain over sealed products, I had a lot of issues with getting the stain to take in certain areas. Note that this is three coats of stain. It doesn't smell bad and it is super easy to clean. I personally think I would have sanded my cabinets down to get the product the hold better. Note that I cleaned with Clean Slate and sealed with Amy Howard matte sealer. There was a water droplet by my sink on the fascia below, when I dabbed it a piece of the stain came off to reveal the original wood. Hence my thought it might be better to sand first. Note: upper cabinets are the original.

Fast drying stain!
I used this on on my bedroom furniture and couldn't be happier with the results. No sanding and excellent coverage. 2 containers completed my project and just wow! Thank you so much!
